Pacquaio v Cotto : Stake your ESB rep on the outcome........

    Having mopped the floor with most of the self styled 'boxing afficionados' once already with the first round of the 'Super 6' tournament, I'm prepared to put my head on the block again for what could be the biggest, most anticipated fight of 2009.
    I love both these guys, but ultimately, I can see only one winner, and that's Miguel Cotto, probably by way of TKO, round about the 7th.
    I believe that the heroic Pacman has bitten off more than he can chew this time, and the third man will probably be called in to save the little warrior from serious damage. The only way Cotto gets beaten is on cuts, around his fragile eyes.
    Anyone prepared to make a fool of themself with a prediction on this one?:smooch

    I got Cotto by TKO. (Roach will throw in the towel)
    I see a Lopez/Penalosa situation here.

    I got Pac winning this one. It'll be hard to knock out a beast like Cotto but I think he'll win convincingly. I'll even say it on record : Pac will outclass Cotto

    Unless I'm seriously underrating Cotto here, I think Pac can go to war and win or box and win. I don't see Cotto winning this fight. But if Pac goes to war then Cotto's chances are just a little bit better

    I love Pac and all, but everybody seems to under estimate Cotto. Cotto is a real welter with power. Without the Marg fight, Cotto would still be the man at welter.

    Im taking Cotto by late stopage i think the first 2 rnds are gonna be Pac's rnd's after that cotto is gonna adjust , time him and take away his angles making pac fight cottos fight.If Pac brawls with Cotto i see itbeign over earlier...

    paquiao is too fast and uses angles to much for cotto, it will be a close fight but pacman by a clear ud. Cotto's power is really overrated, margarito has a great chin, but cotto landed some of his allegid destuctive shots flush on his chin and he walked away smiling, mosley who has genuine power flattened margo, also cotto is not that much bigger than pac so his one true advantage isnt that much of an advangtage. Pac i believe prolly packs a more explosive punch in terms potency, because not only is he nearly as powerful as cotto, but faster, so cotto wont see his shots coming.

    Its hard to call, my heart says Cotto and my head says Pac. Im going with Cotto win. Cotto KO Pac.

    im truly amazed by most peoples lack of boxing history, the ones who are picking cotto by LATE stoppage, late in the fight is when pack will dominate cotto has stamina issues, specifically in big time fights, ( mosley and margorito) in particular when he will be sweat boxing more for this fight to cut those extra 2 pounds. His training will be equivalent in terms of training to lose weight, and training to get better and stronger. If cotto makes 145 he will have more stamina issues and this fight, which will be close early and pac will pull away late.
