seems a stretch, just cause he lost 1 match. other odds. Ward 6/1 (pretty good odds) Abraham 9/4 (lmao, terrible odds) Kessler 2/1 (good odds) Froch 9/2 (yea right, even if he makes it to the 2nd stage, no way he wins the whole thing) Taylor 33/1 (no chance in hell, would be the greatest comeback ever, should be 60-70/1)
i hate odds in boxing, i know kessler is a beast but 2/1 for a guy who hasnt even fought in the tounement:huh people should at least wait till the first stage is over before they start pulling crap out of there asses
Kessler has to get a knockout to get a split decision with Wards' judges, commentators, hometown, referee.
thats true, but even on neutral ground i dont think kessler can out box ward, but thats just my opinion
Why is 2/1 (0,500) for Kessler and even 6/1 (0,167) for Ward good, but 9/4 (0,444) for Abraham terrible? 9/4 is only slightly less then 2/1, I don't see why is it terrible? Anyway, you can't compare odds for Kessler and Ward now with the odds for the other four, because the others have already fought. Kessler and Ward still have 3 fights each, and Direll and Taylor have lost their first fights, so with the 0 in the first slot their chances to win have seriously lessened. Imagine you'd just flipping coins, you need to win at least 2 out of 3 to make it. But if you lose first, then you have to win 2 out of 2 to make it still, therefore your odds are quite less then before. If you win first, then you have to win 1 out of 2 to make it, therefore your odds are quite better then before. Surely the odds for Super Six are considering the boxing abilities of the contenders, so it's not just statistics but also evaluation of lots of different pros and contras, but still who lost the first round has a slim chance to make it, and who won the first round has a pretty good chance to make it. Just watch the odds for Kessler and Ward how they will change after the fight is over - I'd say Kessler wins and his odds get even better, and Ward's odds will be like Direll's and Taylor's
Froch is like a 40-1 to win it,he wont win one fight in the tourney, unless he gets damaged goods Taylor, but you know what I wouldnt even be surprised if Taylor gets revenge and beats him, I mean how many times can FRoch get lucky or get gifts from the jUdges!
