Ok thats your opinion Cotto is just as good as JMM but 20lbs hevier come fight night. Pac lost both bouts against JMM and so will be the case against Cotto...NOV 14th will be Pacs toughest fight !!!

I didn't say this. Pls read my post again:patsch

My point is I believe Pac can Handle Cotto's style. If he can handle's cotto's punch or if he can hurt cotto, that's the question . It's JMM's boxing that gave Pac a problem. I did not say Cotto is a Huge JMM I said he is a Huge Barrera.

I agree! That does say alot from Shane but I still don't think Miguel will be able to cope with the multi demensions and dynamics that PAC will bring.

Seriously, how can you floyd fans not be impressed by the way Cotto conducts himself and the exciting style he fights. His professionalism and class makes floyd look like a juvenile punk.

I think you've kinda ended up somewhere in the middle to behonest. Miguel Cotto is a much better boxer then Barerra. I don't care what Jim Lampley would have people believe MAB was a good boxer but his boxing wasn't great (don't get me wrong he was a great fighter, if you catch my drift). Cotto's certainly is not the "boxer" JMM is though.

Honestly, generalizations don't really work with Cotto because he's much more deliberate and methodical then either of these guys. Plus he's very stubborn and hard headed in the ring. These are weaknesses that niether JMM or MAB were hampered by. Cotto might be able to do much better then MAB because of his size and superior jab. Or he could prove deliberate and predictable, get caught, try to bang it out and get knocked out really quickly. His disposition and skill set leave both as potential outcomes.

Really makes you wonder about how Mosley took on all 'em tough guys at welter or thereabouts, eh?

    Forrest, Cotto, Wright, Mayorga, Vargas...

Shane is the one that shared the ring with these men, I am in no position to argue his opinion from my living room.

I don't see any agenda in it either from Shane's part, its just something he told a reporter who happened to tell Cotto... There are much better ways to get a possible winner of a fight in the ring than to praise them. (see Tarver after the Ruiz fight)

I think it is Shane's honest opinion, having fought Cotto and the only man that beat Cotto (Margarito), I believe there are reasons why Shane thinks Cotto is the "toughest" opponent, and you would have to be Shane and in the ring with Cotto to understand.

Granted what I posted above about Taver getting Jones in the ring, Tarver and Shane are obviously different personalities in different situations.

But if Shane says Cotto was tougher than Winky, Margo, Forrest, or Oscar I believe him. Winky and Forrest had big stylistic advantages over him, Prime Oscar in my opinion is as tough as they come, but I don't think anyone is at a place to debate Mosley over that.
