He quit before Manny DID knock him out. He was on his way out and he knew it. He didn't want the world to see him eat canvas like Hatton did. thats a chump thing to say about a man that beat his face not so golden.

You do know that Manny beat Hatton AFTER he beat Oscar, don't you?

The amount of shots he landed on Oscar and he couldn't put him down? He's not a big puncher at WW - that's all there is to it.

I'm very aware of that fact. thanks. the reference remains, he would have gone done much like Hatton did.

De La Hoya has gotten a lot of his predictions wrong in recent times.

I think dont think this comes down to pacs power. which although amazing I think cottos defence will be 10 times better than hattons come fight night.. so yes he will take big shots but nothing along the lines of what hatton got hit with in those 2 rounds.

how elusive can pac be ? cotto is a brilliant boxer (underrated in my opinion) all pacs work has to come down to speed...I feel cottos power will cause him big problems ...if pac does not not move all night!

Cotto's defense is not as good as Barrera's for effectiveness, and i know there's a size difference, but Cotto should not take the defensive minded boxing route imo, he'd get stopped, he should impose himslef and use that great educated pressure of his. I know the style to ebat Pacquiao is to box, but Cotto is just miles better fighting the other way,

I think Pac wont be able to knock out cotto with a single punch but he will be able to make the ***** quit on his stool like he did Oscar when cotto corner realizes there is no way he can win.

"The amount of shots he landed on Oscar and he couldn't put him down? He's not a big puncher at WW - that's all there is to it."

keep in mind manny's fight before oscar was against diaz at 135, he had to get to 145 to fight oscar, 10lbs is a **** load of weight when you are fighting at peak level so im not surprised he didn't have the power 'then'. manny has been training at 140 - 145lbs for nearly a year now, he's had time to grow into his weight i'de say he'd be more powerful than he was 12 months back.
