Cottos chin is far better at WW. 145 catchweight is also his perfect weight imo, should be a touch faster. Unless he cuts early, I see Pac looking good in first few rds, Cotto being patient and start catchng Manny by rd 4. A stoppage in rd 6 for Cotto

    #1 - Cotto isn't really the underdog. It's essentially a pick-'em fight.

#2 - Hatton & Marquez were both Golden Boy fighters. Cotto isn't. He's a completely neutral observer in this one. If anything, he'd probably say & like Pacquiao to win to take extra leverage off that loss.

#3 - Oscar has no reason to say that Manny doesn't have any power. He could say that Manny is the hardest hitter he's faced at 147, and then it would make him look better for taking all those shots.

He knew he couldn't possibly win the fight given how far down he was on the cards and the condition he was in. Why would he want to go out for 4 rounds and continue getting tired and feeling **** & getting punched in the face for nothing?

I don't know why people question Cotto's chin, Dude has never been knocked out.
(Regardless of what people say about the Margarito fight, Cotto elected to take a knee)

If anyone can speak from experience it's ODLH, he has faced Manny.
Dude defo sticks to his guns about the power issue concerning Pac.
his comment's only make the match between MC & MP that much more anticipated...

i just want to see a great match, given pacquiao's track record as of late it's sure not to be a dull event.

I don't believe that people punch harder with additional weight. You might commit more to your punches because of reduced mobility due to the weight, sit down on them really. Knocking out Hatton isn't that spectacular when he was getting wobbled by guys who had similar, if not lower, power than Pac and were natural LWW.

His performance against oscar was fabulous, but he wasn't really doing anything seriously damaging, especially consdiering how much he landed.

195 POWER PUNCHES! And Oscar was still standing - that's a combination of great chin and under-developed power at welter. That's the only evidence we can use. He threw 195 power shots and still wasn't close to knocking Oscar out.

That is all I'm pointing out - Pac's power will be a non-issue against Cotto, from my analysis of the available information.

For **** sake we all know oscar has a fortress of a chin even a drained oscar. The only man to stop oscar was B Hop and that was from a body shot. I have no doubt that if the pacquiao hoya fight was to go into the next round oscar would have been stopped. Up until that point pacquiao wasnt really putting his full weight behind shots not to mention that was his first fight at the weight. In relation to diaz, he didnt ko diaz because he wasnt landly cleanly enough in the early rounds. After about round 6 the shots were landing more cleanly and he did brutally ko diaz in the next few rounds.

195 power shots? a power shot is debateable when you think about it.

Oscar must have been hit so hard by Pac that it's affected his memory. He looked like a shaken, terrified little rabbit in round 7 when Pac had him trapped in the corners. He was hurt all right, his legs almost gave way at the very end of the round. He is just being a bitter little ***** about the man who humiliated him and ended his career.

I don't know what Oscar really felt, but what does he gain by slating Manny's power?
