Are you kidding? Oscar wasn't even shaken by a punch. he was hit cleanly so much but never once did his knees buckle. Actually it was kinda pathetic Manny had 8 rounds to put him down landing shot after shot after shot cleanly, yet Oscar kept taking everything Manny had. Sure Oscar quit, I would too. It's not fun getting smacked when you can't hit back.

Pac doesn't need to have that much power to beat Cotto. All he needs is enough power to make Cotto cover up and give up his offense. He definately that much power against Oscar.

Its crazy how Pac only gets credit if his opponent ends up flat on his back looking constipated. If the guy loses every round, its not good enough because he didn't knock him down.

Oscar isn't the first to "dismiss" Manny's power. Jorge Solis at 130 and David Diaz at 135 both made similar statements.

Are you kidding? End of round 7, Manny lands a volley of punches cleanly, Oscar wobbles into the ropes and stumbles forward. A momentary stagger, but still a visible stagger. If you just look at Oscar's face all through round 7, he looks terrified, hating it, dying to get out of there. You don't look like that if you are not getting hurt. Many fighters have been hit cleanly and often, and took it for the full 12 rounds without so much as a frown. Look at Jones-Toney or Hopkins-Pavlik or JMM-Mayweather. JT, KP, JMM were losing every round and shipping plenty clean punches, but they weren't huddled in a corner looking like they were staring into the eyes of a serial killer. They were getting through it, toughing it out, because they weren't in sufficient physical distress. Oscar was, it was obvious.

Oscar was hurt from being hit so much, but he wasn't ready to drop by any means. His corner was on him about stopping the fight because he was being hit so much and not hitting back. He wasn't even fighting back anymore for the last 1-2 rounds. In all of those other fights you mentioned, the corners weren't saying they were gonna stop the fight after 6 rounds. The volume of clean punches Oscar took combined with how drained and just plain sick he was, obviously amounted to too much. Oscar was huddled in the corner because he had nothing left to move himself out of the way. Like I said, he was gassed walking into the ring. lol And it isn't helping when your opponent is landing countless shots to your head.

Because it's fashionable to hate the good-looking boxer, everyone will be no doubt bitching, but I didn't disagree with one word he said in that article.

Look where Pac's hand is... imagine one of Cotto's straight rights coming over the top of that. Good night, Manny.

More and more, I really see serious flaws in manny's game that Cotto has picked apart before.

:verysad I'm going to disagree with you on this one, Popkins. I never saw any evidence of Oscar being hurt. Off balance, befuddled by a barrage of punches, yes, but not wobbled or anything of the sort.

if he wasnt hurt by his punches, then why was he cowering like a little girl and not hitting back. that picture shows how open Pac was after the right hook, it would have been nice if DLH snuck one in. but he was too busy blocking the punches that were not hurting him.

Too busy being a half dead corpse before the first bell even rang, might I add. If Oscar says he was never hurt, I'm inclined to believe him. Cotto isn't a golden boy fighter here, he has no agenda.
