I don't understand what you're talking about when you say "pure" boxing standpoint. However, I do know that when I see Povetkin fight, I do not see a boxer. And Chambers is reasonable, but he's not on the same level as Haye.
James Toney is the most skilled if you really want to break it down, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't get beat by Wlad, Vitali, Haye, and maybe even Povetkin.
Haye right now is unproven, but given his ability and tallent, and already solid technical skills, he could become the most skilled and the best. But as I said, he's UNPROVEN; however, if he beats Valuev in a very convincing way, which I expect that he will, you might make the arguement that he is the most skillfull boxer. Judging by his training, it looks as if he's improving on tightening his defense. If he does this, this guy will be a KILLER at heavyweight.
With his hands down by his side, Haye doesn't last 5 rounds with either Klitscho. Heck, even Tua can land on Haye, and it's good night Mr. Haye if that were to ever happen. Just wait until Saturday, Haye will go down, and all this talk about him will be no more.

I don't think he's neccessarily MORE skilled than them, but he's in the same bracket. Chagaev was also up there before his illness.

Agree on the Klits and Tua - all three would destroy Haye. But he might beat Valuev, who is not a particularly good puncher.
