Another reason why I left out RJJ (unconsciously) and Ali (very consciously) is speed in a p4p sense. Ali would definately qualify as one of the fastest, if you include the division and what fast means there, but the poll is keeping it on a weight level which the boxers have common ground in and are able to be judged better. Because a fast small guy will always look quicker than a fast big guy, it'll be unfair to put in the heavier guys against the smaller guys in a poll.

Taylor threw shoe-shine flurries and arm punches for the most part. His speed is overrated because of it in my honest opinion. Camacho's hands were almost as fast in real time, and he actually threw punches with proper form. He was also much faster with his feet and reflexes than Taylor.

The fastest fighter overall would have to be Jones Jr. He didn't just commit, he put his whole body into his punches, just like Ray Leonard. Jones had faster feet than Ray though, and probably even faster reflexes as well. Arguably the fastest ever in that regard as well.

Taylor is clearly the fastest on this list. But RJJ should be on this list if he was I would pick him.

Because his punching speed has been measured?
How is this even an argument?

I forget where the study was, but a couple years back I read something saying his hands were the fastest of any boxer. I don't even care to argue it. I've seen the guy box, I believe it.

Go and find the measures of all of Taylor's, Camacho's and Howard Davis Jr's hand speed then and I'll believe you. Until then, it's not 'obvious'. It's a debate. I'd say HW Jr's hands were just as quick, if not slightly quicker.

Says the guy who tried desperately to make fun of me in another topic. Way to go dude.

I'll handle my disinterest in other people myself, you can worry about my disinterest in impressing you all on your own.

I'm not going to look for a study that doesn't exist. Maybe this will teach you not to make up silly comments & perceived 'facts' in the future.
