Actually to me it is, GoldenBoy has Pacquiao listed on their sites, I think they are involved with Manny in some way, why would he side with Cotto?

I think he really thinks Miguel has a legit shot, which he does, I just hope Manny comes out okay....

I don't think anyone here stands as good a judge of what Pacquiaos punches are like as ODLH. Even David Diaz said it wasn't the power, it was the speed. No one should be offended by what Oscar said, they should just realize that pacquiao has good power and amazing speed. Not amazing power and amazing speed.

He's got some power but nothing in the sorts Trinidad or Mosley had. If Mosley or Trinidad landed 1/4 of the punches as clean as Pac did Oscar WOULD have been out. Pac's thing is his speed and throwing at times Oscar wasn't expecting. Like I said, Oscar was never hurt from ONE punch, just over the course of the fight from the accumulation of punches.

Ever heard of chinese water torture? lol same idea.

After Pac did this to Oscar, you have to be somewhat surprised by his comments.

I think many of you are misunderstanding what Oscar meant by hurt. Yes when punched in the face repeatedly the punches hurt they don't tickle, so by that sense Paquiao did hurt Oscar, but it wasn't debilitating pain or power. Oscar's legs never wobbled and there was never a point in the fight where he chicken danced or was on ***** street. He was never in danger of being dropped. He was however not capable of defending himself which creates the image of him being hurt. He was affected by being punched in the face, and was unable to defend himself, but he wasn't hurt by the punches in the sense he was foggy, wobbled, or in danger of being dropped. Basically what he was saying is Pac's KO of Hatton isn't indicative of the type of power he possess. Pac does have pop to his punches but his KO's will more than likely come by accumulation in the WW division not one punch and lights out.

Under terms of the settlement, bouts between Pacquiao and Golden Boy fighters will be co-promoted by the companies. If Pacquiao fights an opponent outside of Golden Boy's stable, Top Rank will promote the fight with Golden Boy being paid on the event.

Arum said once the sides agreed to the structure of the settlement, he and Schaefer made the Pacquiao-Barrera rematch in a few minutes over lunch Wednesday in Las Vegas

This was after 8 rounds of solid punches. Mike tyson rarely did this to a guy's face, he had too much power to mark the dude up for 25 minutes. I think that was oscar's point.

LOL I think getting hit 100s times hurts more than getting hit once and KTFO.

De La Hoya/Pac was just a stupid, STUPID fight for Oscar. It was a no win situation for him. It looked as if he was picking on a smaller man, though in fact I knew Pac was no joke, but if oscar won if did nothing for his legacy and to lose like that did look pretty bad.
I can't understand why Oscar would choose such a brutal opponent. It made no sense. Did he really get that much more money from it then he would've Cotto or Marg? I highly doubt that. I wonder if his motivation was personal with Pac and Roach.
