Would any of you gentlemen care to explain to me Wyatt Earp's implication in boxing?

    You got some misinfo there. Both the McLaury bros and Billy Clanton were shot to death, Ike Clanton escaped. The two Earp bros and Doc Holliday were wounded, Wyatt Earp wasn't bruised at all. Guy musta been like Floyd Mayweather.

    Not from what I saw. Plus after the beat down Kirk let Earp off the hook after putting a pistol to his head. Higher calling of morality and all.

    In fairness to this eye-opening topic, I had no idea Wyatt Earp was involved with boxing and I am now going to do some reading up on the matter.

    I got the thought from watching the Corbett-Fitzsimmons fight and read how each man had 6 gunmen in they're corner to keep things ''fair''.
    One of Corbett's men was Earp.
