In every prediction, Oscar will either pick his house fighter, or against any top rank fighter. In this situation, he benefits more by picking Pac. Because if Cotto beats him, it makes Oscar's loss look even worse.

Oscar was never hurt in that fight. He quit because he saw no point in taking unnecessary punishment when he was not being competitive.

What De La Hoya says can be taken as seriously as what Atlas says or even worse when he is promoting the fight. He also said he felt the best he's ever felt when he was going into the Pacquiao fight, Marquez looked more impressive than Floyd did in training camp and he just knew Marquez would win, the list goes on.

DLH would pick Chavez Jr. over Pacquiao if that fight happened, so don't be surprised with this. DLH has something against Pac for leaving his stable and obviously beating him like no one ever did in the ring.

I've said this from the very moment that fight ended.

Pacquiao against DLH just did'nt look like he had Welterweight power.

DLH has picked against Pacquiao before, but everytime it was a GBP fighter going up against Pac.

This may actually be an honest pick as DLH does'nt have stock in either Pac or Cotto.

I don't see anything wrong with him losing to an up and coming welterweight whose actually close to his size. He might have saved face by being stopped by Cotto instead of Pacquiao.

Instead he was beaten up by a guy whose head barely reached his shoulder. All because he wanted a bigger payday and thought his size would give him the advantage.

DelaHoya is an egotistical ***** who only wanted money. All that bull crap about his boxing legacy was a smoke screen. He never loved boxing, he's alot like Mayweather. His dad made him join the sport.

Did you see Morales' face after his second fight with Barrera? Ask Erik if he was hurt in that fight. :good

Facial abrasions mean nothing I agree, but here are some things which do mean something:

    - Oscar quit. I refuse to accept that a proud and proven warrior would submit if he was not in pain. He would have toughed it out till the final bell, like countless other fighters have done when facing a shutout. Oscar was not medically paralysed, he was physically capable of throwing punches back, as he did in the example Flexb posted near the end of round 8. Oscar would not have quit if he was not hurt.

    - His legs did visibly weaken near the end of the 7th.

    - He was not grinning or posturing or shrugging off Pacquiao's punches, as we have seen numerous fighters do even when they are taking a licking. Fighters are proud, they love bravdo, but the one thing they don't do is cower in a corner with a terrified look on their face if they are secretly thinking to themselves "this guy is a powderpuff puncher".

If only so many others could see this very obvious truth.
