Would De La Hoya have stood up to Pac's final left hand on Hatton?

    I think not!

He would have at least been hurt and put on his ass by that.

Even to the point where he may have been KTFO cold like Hatton if he survied the count.

I just think that if he landed that shot on De La Hoya Manny would have finished him off.

Theres a lot of talk about how many power shots he took form Pac, but c'mon, he never took a shot like the one Hatton took.

Some people are even saying that Pac cant hurt Cotto.

Well I say watch Pac vs Hatton again because if Cotto eats a shot like that he's done for. :yep

    :D

I can't see him or anyone else staying on there feet from that, sorry.

I know Hoya has an Iron chin which you probably fanatasize about jizzing over and watching your cum drip from it, but a weight drainned Hoya would have been put on his arse imo. :yep

DLH was iron chinned, he would have been hurt by the shot no doubt, but he's been in there with bigger and stronger guys than Pac and managed to stay on his feet throughout.

Even when weight drained, he showed no indication that he was going to go down in the same way that Hatton did.

Well even Cotto himself that the shot that took out Hatton probably would have sent even Tyson to the floor.

That was a full fledged perfectly timed power shot, with power coming all the way down from the legs, up the back. Perfectly landed on the chin and Hatton did not see it coming. Very few people would have survived that if they didn't see it coming.

I understand what you guys are saying.

But if Pac landed that shot and Hoya did;nt see it like Hatton he would have at least beem dropped imo.

Anyway, Pac definetly has the power to put Cotto to sleep, and Hoya never felt the power that Hatton felt because Manny came to outbox Hoya and not lay down bombs on him like he did with Hatton.

"The punch he hit Hatton with," Cotto said, "would have taken down Mike Tyson. He won't find me that easy. My mind is my best weapon."

I believe him. I don't think Hatton got KO'd because of a shitty glass chin, I think he got KO'd because he was dumb enough to be caught rushing in with a power shot he didn't see coming. Oscar, in the exact same circumstances, would have been KO'd too. The thing is, Oscar was a good enough fighter that night not to be caught in that stupid situation like Hatton was.

You do the "glass chin" ratings right? Yea, so, I know not to take anything you say seriously.

BOT, I don't think anybody could have taken that shot. That was a picture perfect shot and Hatton didn't see it, but that is Hatton's style. Now, if that was De La Hoya he wouldn't have gotten hit like that because of his defense and plus De La Hoya has a good 4 or 5 inches on Pacquiao so it wouldn't have been as effective anyway.

Boxing isn't all about chins. It's also about hitting and not getting hit. Regardless of how tough your chin is, if you get caught cold with a good power shot, you're probably going down.
