I know Haye is fast, but he's a slugger really, at his essence, this guy has a good chin and is not a bad technician imo, i mean he's not great or anything, but he has a good jab, he throws his right hand in for measure and a good uppercut, i've seen him go to the body as well. I've never seen Haye fight the way he would have to tomorrow to win, not in a fully disciplined manner anyway. Holyfield used the wily old fox tactics, get the shots off and use lateral movement, circular. I'm not saying Haye can't do that, but i know how he wants to fight in everyfight, bombs away. It would be quite spectacular if he won doing that imo

33/1, what, just for a stoppage anytime? I'll have to do that. I know i said the style match up imo on paper should be against Haye, but on paper is on paper and the big factor here might be that Haye wants it, badly.

I think Haye will stop him in 5. Haye won't do much in the first but step it up in the second by the fourth Valuev is being dominated then the ref jumps in the fifth.

Oh, **** it then, i've never won a bet on rounds, Hatton ****ed up getting banged out a round later earlier and a round later than i betted on. I wonder what the odds are for a first round ko?

Although Haye's chin still posses a question mark, I don't have much confidence in Valuev's ability to score a KO. His power was never much to speak of, he hasn't stopped a decent opponent in years, and doesn't have the workrate to really force a stoppage. My guess is that Haye is going to win this by a wide margin. If Valuev is getting hammered too badly in there, we may see a corner retirement, as that seems to be the popular thing these days.

I am with the majority here.

This is Hayes fight to loose. Haye is the best heavyweight puncher on the planet at the moment with the arguable exception of Wlad Klitschko. He is not some wild swinger. He is verry cerebral in his aproach to fights and is a great ring general. He is also meticulous in his preparations and always works with high quality sparring partners.

There are still questions about his chin but given Valuevs record of going to the score cards against elite level opposition I am more than prepared to gamble against it.

On the other hand if Valuev should somehow win we would have to give him respect based on the fact that we picked against him and he took a fight that nobody else wanted.

Going with Haye, but on points.

I would rank Hayed as a puncher below BOTH Kilt brothers, as I feel VK hits harder at heavyweight also.

Haye makes a good 3. Chin is still a unkown, but I dont think Valuev has the power to crack it perhaps. We never know until fight time, but think Haye may win on points, IF the judges allow it.

This could easy turn out to be other Holyfiled Valuev fight, were Valuev loses, but some how gets the unrightful points win.

if haye has learnt from the thompson fight he might win on points ,but i think haye may have a stamina problem so if it goes past the 8th i would think valuev ,but as i am a brit i am going for haye by stoppage in the 7th

    Arent you still a teen?

Thats a decent article and better than a lot of boxing pieces that make it into national newspapers these days, really is so fair play to you.

    Keep at it. :good

I personally have absolutely no idea whatsoever what is going to happen. Could go points either way or stoppage either way, late or early. I normally stick a few quid on whenever Im watching a fight but I have no idea what to do for this one.

THANK YOU. Somebody with some sense. Everybody is talking about Valuev KOing Haye and Haye will get knocked out, but even if he does hurt or even drop Haye he won't be able to finish him. Haye is just too fast, quick, and young for Valuev to finish him off.
