Valuev vs Haye Lets talk Haye's Gameplan!

What if Valuev just comes out and walks Haye down into a corner and proceeds to pummel him? What then?

 

I like that angle, the name calling bully gets beaten up by some kids bigger brother!

 

I think the plan will be to move a bit in the first three or four, switch hitting, looking to target Valuev's body.

At all times try to maintain a pretty high pace, and look to get Valuev leaning in - Haye's right hand counters have proved devastating in the past.

 

It would definitely be all or nothing. And really, away from the counterpuncher he's been pretty much since the Thompson loss.

Add that to Valuev's durability and, yeah, like I say I'd definitely be astounded.

Virtually everyone interviewed about the fight here is saying Haye will need to stick & move instead, which seems the smart plan.

 

Against normal humans under 200 lbs. Haye will be countering a man the size of a grizzly bear with the head to match. I don't think any of Haye's punches have any effect on Valuev.

 

Valuev will know Haye has been knocked down before and has fallen short due to the stamina issue after punching himself out against Thompson. The longer the fight goes the better it is for Valuev. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a more aggressive Valuev. Imagine if this fight is a toe to toe war!

Haye can just fall down on canvas, hold, run, complain to referee and Dirrell fans will claim he won a shutout.

Dirrell fans hate Klitschkos, Chagaev, Valouev, Boytson, Ustinov, "all" Euro fighters.

 

Haye will fight off the canvas.

 

His stamina sucks!

Haye will be looking to use his movement, spped and smaller stature to circle Valuev, catch him with counters, pound the body, and work the head later in the fight.

Valuev is WIDe open to overhand rights and HAS been hurt by mediocre punchers; David certainly carries enough power and skill to land on Valuev, and HURT him.

I wouldnt be surprised if Valuev quits on his stool after Haye chopping away at his ribs and solar plexus for 9 rounds.

 

i see haye keeping his distance for the first round or 2, measuring the range and valuevs speed or lack of. Simply potshotting his way through and if he feels he can hurt valuev he might be more aggressive, but if he feels he cant, he will continue moving around and potshotting his way to a UD.
