First of all, go find the numbers for ticket sales to provide some hard evidence of what you're saying. Second of all, supposing Pacquiao drew three thousand more people to an arena, yet Floyd outsold Pacquiao by three HUNDRED thousand on Pay-Per-View, you would still maintain that Pacquiao is the draw because more people attended live? This is too funny.

If you're so sure of this, why not go get some hard numbers to work with? You can't be serious that some ticket sales are going to outdo hundreds of thousands of Pay-Per-View subscribers.

When any superstar leaves the sport, there is a lull until we find another superstar, but if Floyd left boxing...he will be sorely missed, but boxing will never die because Floyd left. I've seen this with Ali and Sugar and Duran... We still got Hop, PW, Berto, Cotto, Valero, Dawson, The K brothers... Boxing will always survive...

Don't hit him with hard logic. He seems to think that every dollar spent in a city on a fight-weekend is an indication of who is the bigger draw. Like, for instance, if someone gets a haircut in Vegas while Pacquiao is fighting, a portion of the proceeds should find their way to Pacquiao since he is the reason the person was there. Something stupid like this. Something that can't be calculated or proven, so he can hide in it. It's comical.

EXACTLY. I hadn't read down this far when I gave my barber shop example, but you seem to have made my point already using Sal's Pizza.

I think if you gave Bazooka the chance to just back out of this argument as if it never happened, he would take it. Now he's just dug himself a hole and he's pointlessly trying to get out, but it only gets deeper. He's dead wrong here.

He must know he's wrong. He's so far in left field that it's not even funny. He should admit it and move on.

Assume a 20,000 thousand person arena. Assume that every person there spends on average 2,000 on their trip including entrance (I know some people will pay that much for the seat alone but others will pile into a van and drive there and buy the $100 nosebleed seats).

$20,000 x 2,000 = $40 million. 1 million PPV buys at an average of $55 (assuming that half paid $50 for standard def and half spent $60 for high def) = $55 million dollars.

How can you not see that PPV is so much larger than the live gate. Even if you count all the money that was spent in the city because of this fight (which you shouldn't because the fighters won't see any of it)

All I know is that with Floyd - Pac as a possibility, I could give a crap about a third Marquez fight.
