But you dismiss the fact that Marquez has a pretty good following and you dismiss the fact that the fight took place on mexican independance day, you act as if its Floyd himself with out considering the other factors.....
    and they do exsist.

the way I see it, cus I could care less about Floyd and Manny pac, the draw is not determained by common opponents the draw is determained by both numbers PPV and live gate, so Floyd had his run with Marquez and it did better than expeceted in terms of PPV sales.

Now Pac vs Cotto what ever those numbers read show you who is the draw in this....
another thing to consider, the Floyd Marquez fight also sold Movie tickets and I wouldnt be surprised if they counted one movie ticket as one PPV hook up, even though the movie ticket itself was much cheaper than the PPV event at home.....

Nobody has shown where those numbers are, and I am almost certain they are tucked in with the PPV numbers.... there is no evidence to suggest other wise.

These were the kind of ass kissers that Floyd was hoping for in his interview.

Alright, and as has been shown, Floyd beats Pacquiao in both. Thanks for making the point.

Today you have an arguement, come the Cotto Pacquiao fight it gets crushed whats your next move?

I mean you do beleive Floyd is the bigger draw, so there should be no reason Pacquiao vs Cotto does better in terms of numbers right? after all Floyd is the draw.

Paul Williams has never made a title defense and his best win is a close decision over Margarito who was later blasted out by Mosley. I like Paul but people need to stop acting like he's our lord and saviour. Sure Floyd ducks people but his resume is still much better than Pauls and we should wait to see what PW has before we go crazy about him. That being said I do hope that PW proves himself, he's good for boxing without the hype.

Let's see if Pac-Cotto does 2.4million buys since you say common opponents don't matter.

Very good point Sensi wow your getting good at this..... I honestly feel like this is going to get pretty darn close to that.... call me crazy but I think both fighters are known well enough....

But honestly in the end, Floyd doesnt deserve to fight neither of these guys, he has made a career at cherry picking and avoiding challenges he can finish his career the same way.

    1. That's what matters.

    2. Floyd is the bigger draw as the numbers have shown. There is no disputing that. The reason "common opponents" is such a powerful indicator is that it gives a head to head comparison. Floyd has never fought Cotto, so we will have nothing to compare the results to. That said, we'll see how November 14 turns out when it does. I'm not going to speculate about what might happen when we can just wait a week or two and know for sure.

Exactly. On his logic, Pacquiao vs. Cotto would have to top Floyd vs. Oscar if he was going to prove that Pacquiao was the bigger draw, even though it is plain to see that it would be unfair to judge the matter based on that for obvious reasons. Still, if he wants to live by that sword, he can die by it. He loses either way.

Okay we can just wait it out to see, I have a question since your "All knowing"

How were the movie tickets counted? was each movie ticket counted as one PPV buy? where are those numbers (For the Floyd Marquez fight)?

and if its counted as 1 PPV purchase at about 8 dollars, then that 1 Million PPV buys number is kinda bogus then isnt it?

    1. Knowing more than you doesn't make me all-knowing. It'd be flattering for you to think so of me if you were a little brighter yourself.

    2. Do some research on your own. So far you've just foamed at the mouth with bull**** and expected everyone else to do your research for you. This time it's on you.

It probably will, and I hope it does. I'm a fan of both Cotto and Pacquiao.

I have done research on it, and there is nothing in that regard, though its confirmed that movie tickets did do well, and I beleive they are stuffed in with the PPV numbers there is no evidence that suggest other wise, so that means that 1 Million PPV buys is soft.... its not a solid 1 Million at 50 dollars each.....

If you can't confirm anything, I'm not gonna speculate with you.
