Thank God for that, there was simply no point in letting it continue. Beautiful punches to set up the 2 knockdowns.

No worse than 40 blokes on horseback spending the afternoon chasing an exhausted fox around the countryside until its knackered enough to be ripped apart by a pack of dogs....;)

Be good to see McCloskey against one of the other top Brits defending the title - he needs to keep busy. A fight against Olusegen would be interesting.

I understand that but you shouldn't devalue the belt by bringing in a last minute replacement of this poor quality....I also understand and appreciate the Steve Robinson argument

great win by McClouskey, even though his opponent wasn't of European standard

The stoppage was just the exclamation mark on a clinic like performance from McCloskey. Well done Paul!

The opponent wasn't the best, but at a weeks notice what do you expect? I'm sure Paul would rather have had Mbaye in the ring, to take out the more high-profile name, but those the breaks. He done the best job with materials provided. Good performance.

He can be a world champ. Said it since I first saw him on YouTube he has the potential. Just depends how his brand of defence transfers against fighters with decent offense and power.
