I just don't think much of haye at all. he's gonna have to prove me wrong before i give him any cred at hw.

Against Barrett, a shot and feather-fisted fighter, Haye looked untidy and sloppy. A boxer with more discipline and straighter shots would have capitalized.

Make no mistake about it though, I don't rate Valuev highly at all. he's barely in my top 10 at hw. However, i like this matchup for him. He's durable, huge and has good stamina. Haye's weaknesses at hw remain his stamina and punch resistance. Now if Haye doesn't get rid of Valuev quickly, Haye will start slowing down and he will get slower and slower becoming more sloppy (wider punches and leaning forward as with barrett).

I think Valuev should make Haye come to him. Haye is a very good counter-puncher but he's not a good aggressor. If Valuev lets Haye commence the punching, valuev will have great chances for counters. Haye looked awful when he attacked Barrett. It was when Barrett would try those wide power shots where Haye did the damage by countering. When valuev paws with the lazy jab haye can score which has me concerned. Valuev did this with Chagaev, and Chagaev countered constantly with the left and moved away. But I doubt Haye's discipline at this pt to fight like that for 12 rounds.

Reckon Haye is a live dog but I see Valuev showing some bottle in this one and pulling it out late. No matter the outcome, at least this fight will eliminate one pretender from the scene :yep

I watched the fight recently and there was definately some disagreement going on in the Valuev corner between rounds. Whether that was down to Valuevs attitude or the newish trainer, i don't know.

yes. and i will give haye credit if he wins. it would stamp him as top 10 hw and genuine contender. but to be a real hw champion, he has to beat a klitschko

however, if he loses i will rubbish him and his British nuthuggers to no end:nut

Haye won't get a decision in Germany. That being said, at first I was pulling for Haye, however after hearing the recent comments; calling Valuev ugly, questioning his hygiene (supposedly he smells), his hair, head shape, among the plethora of other ****, it's just so classless and old. It's one thing to belittle your opponents skills another to take personal shots that are absolutely irrelevant. Therefore, I am rooting for Valuev, who actually seems like gent and a humble guy, and really has a decent chance to win also. Valuev TKO 8

I voted for Valuev by TKO, but actually, I see that as an upset. This would be Hayes fight to lose, rather than Valuev to win. His best days are too long over, but he could capitalize on Haye making mistakes not sticking to a gameplan. I bet on Haye making that mistake, trying too hard to get Valuev out of there but failing, and then being gassed. But if Haye fights smart, he doesn't even try to KO him at all, and sails to a point win without big problems.

i cant believe so many people are picking Haye to win by KO against a guy who was never even been shaken in the ring.

Valuev has been hurt badly before, theres a clip of a fight on youtube where he was in real trouble against an average fighter. So I do think Haye has the power to do it and could go for a quick shock KO- either way, one will KO the other possibly in the 1st rd.
