He kept his cool and didn't panick when Rogan went into a frenzy and attacked him. Rogan just kept hitting gloves most of the time. The crowd were going wild but Sexton knew what he was doing. He survived the storm and then picked him off. His jab looked crisp, his one-two was good, and just a great performance overall. Dude's only 25 too and can go far I think. Keep in mind , heavyweights peak a little later too. Normally when people are getting excited about a young British fighter, I'm the first one to say don't get carried away, but I think Sexton's got a good future. Obviously he's got a lot to work on but the fundamentals are there.

I think people need to chill on Fury. He's supposed to be the next big thing but I'm more impressed by Sam everytime I see him. If they fought now, Fury get's spanked.

Props to Rogan though, what a warrior.

No Chisora already beat him and would do so again. Not enough power and a soft chin, not a good combo in the heavyweights.

He is impressive domestically, just doesn't have the chin/stamina to go beyond that in my opinion - but take nothing away from him, he has silenced the critics twice now and I wish him all the best.

I liked the way that he had Rogan walking onto his one twos....and the lead right hand that Sexton was throwing just showed he had Rogans number

Rogan suddenly aged tonight and the arm injury was a way out I think

Not everybody is as crude as Rogan. Rogan punched himself out and shows no regard for defence.

Against a more schooled opponent I don't think Sexton has that physicality or presence to impose himself on a fight. Just throwing the odd counterpunch and light jabs won't beat most good fighters. I imagine he lost to Chisora because Chisora is more educated than Rogan, but you can see how Rogan caused him trouble and hurt him.

Good fighter, has decent skills and speed and has shown some heart but like the others have said, he doesn't have the chin or power to go past domestic level.

He has been rocked very badly in the two Rogan fights and Rogan isn't a huge puncher and whilst i believe Sexton's power is better than his KO percentage suggests, i don't think it is good enough for the higher levels.

Sexton won't go past European level.

His stamina ain't great. I think people are overrating Rogan too much. Rogan's a brawler, that's about it.

Past European? He won't even get to European, trust me. Matt Skelton was European class and he was a much tougher nights work than Sam Sexton at his peak. That Italian brute Pianeta that holds the European strap would make easy work of Sam.
