I'm just "worried" that the interest from the general public is almost entirely based on the fact that one of the fighters is 7'2" and 23 stone.

Thats fair enough but if people are expecting this fight to spark a resurgence of interest in boxing then I think they may be disappointed.

MMA taking over the best fighters in boxing are old men who 20 or 30 years ago would be long retired

The fact that it is HW may be contributing to it, along with the intrigue of Valuev's size.

Little do the general public know, Valuev's fights are often as interesting as watching paint dry, he's not the destructive force he looks.

People will watch just for the freakish nature of the matchup. Having said that, if Valuev does go down flat on his face it will be an iconic moment....I hope that if it happens Haye stands over him the way that Cassius did with Liston just so we get the defining image

It wouldn't bother me if he did. I'm not overly fussed with Haye to be honest. He's a good boxer but all he's doing is looking to take advantage of a shite division with his mouth. One of the Klits will beat him i'm pretty sure of that.

I want Haye to win however I'm starting to feel sorry for Valuev and the way he's been made into this pantomine villain/freak show.

If Haye wins its better for Boxing in general in this country, but if he doesn't I won't really be too arsed.

    WAR (erm.......) ANYONE

I feel sorry for Valuev, I got jumped on by the kids tonight for calling him a freak (they think he's cute in a Harry and the Hendersons sort of way), I feel bad about that as he genuinely seems a nice chap.

I'm actually starting to get a bad feeling about this...the Don King interview at the weigh-in sent shivers down my spine. According to Don Haye will get smashed tonight, but will win the re-match...he seems very confident about the outcome, and generally speaking what Don wants, Don gets
