My pick is Haye by points if the judges are fair.My worry is, will his stamina and temple hold out for 12 rounds,i hope it can.
I would love Dave to win. He is a genuinely nice guy. But Valuev will land at some point, it could be good while it lasts, but i see Haye landing often to no effect and gassing and getting stopped in about 8.
i just think valuev is there for the taking if haye uses the right tactics. valuev looks quite flabby, very little protection around the torso. it doesnt matter who you are, if you get hit enough by hayes shots, whether it be head or body, you will eventually go down. once he does go over or even start to tire, he cant possibly stay up, not with 22 stone pushing down on his legs. 3 haye right hands and the tree WILL fall!!! having said that, haye needs to be very careful! if he plays the counter puncher, alls valuev has to do is stick his arm out and if haye runs into it... oh dear, it could be bad!! i think haye by TKO in rounds 8-10... COME ON HAYMAKER!!! :bbb
Have said Valuev on points for a while so going to stick with that - but worried that Haye's stamina and lack of HW fights mean that he won't last 12
very true... DOES ANYONE THINK THAT HAYE WOULD BENEFIT FROM THE EXTRA STONE IN WEIGHT HES GAINED OR WILL HE HAVE LOST SPEED, STAMINA?? :think:think:think
Haye will win.... Jim Watt picks Valuev "But if I was a betting man I would put money on Valuev to win this, probably on points, simply because he is more experience at this weight and level. David Haye can pull it off, of course he can, but I have a feeling what makes him so watchable is what might well prove his undoing on Saturday night."
Haye on points for mine in fairly convincing fashion. I'd love to see him knock him out, but think it'll go the distance with Valuev taking a bit of stick.
The fight wont go the distance. In fact I doubt it will go more than 4 rounds. Either Haye will get through and drop the big guy or he'll take a right hook high on the head and his legs will go to jelly. Being a Haye fan I'll back my man to stop the cave man inside 4. If Haye gets stopped though I bet a shot high to the side of the head does the damage.
I didn't realise that Haye is a stone heavier than he has ever boxed, I missed that. I hope it doesn't affect his stamina.
Hayes weight has been wrongly reported everywhere so it seems. He has NOT come in as heavy as sources (Including Sky) have repoted
