Because both camps agreed to it. Pac wanted 143, Cotto and his doctor offered 145 because it's the lowest healthy weight he can go down to. So it's Cotto's terms.

And please don't act like it's not been done before. Think 145 is bull****? Blame the inventors of this catchweight title fight: Julio Cesar Chavez and Pernell Whitaker. OK for these 2 legends, but if Pac does it , he's a weight drainer? That, my friend, is utter bull****!

We all know why Roach chose Cotto.

Freddie Roach: "I think Cotto is on the slide".

Additionally, you know he hopes like hell Cotto has trouble w/ the weight or he would have not demanded the ridiculous weight of 143. He would have loved to get that.

That's not Pacquiao's fault and probably not his opinion though. I'm sure he'll fight Cotto at whatever weight.

**** it Cotto. Give up 2 million now, make a lot more money after you win. They will NOT stop the fight from happening. Too much money invested in it.

*******s will really cry if Cotto comes in @ 147 and starches Pac. If he does it at @ 145 they'll just say Cotto was always too big.

If he's drained, he's drained. It can happen. It shouldn't this time but Roach sure hopes so!

One of Manny's camp says this and anyone even pays attention?

Some people will jump on anything. The only people I'd trust saying it are:

Landsman, Santiago, Arum or Cotto. Anyone else counts for absolute ****. By all accounts Manny appears unfocused - but how likely is that when $20m is on the line.

I really hope Cotto comes in at 147. I still think Pac would win.

Anyway why can DLH be drained and Cotto be drained and be used as excuses, but if the way the fight plays demonstrate that Cotto's size had to with it, it's bull**** if someone says Cotto is too big? Pac can never have an excuse, but all his wins are meaningless? Shows how biased people can be.

There is more than 1 way of gaining weight...Sometimes you can build unwanted muscle mass when you train as much as pro boxers do...

Its funny when someone doesnt make weight people automatically think it is because of body fat...

    We'll see.

Oh but if Cotto is too big he's not big right? and can't be as an excuse right? Typical.

There will be no excuses .... just more BS from the Roach camp.

Wonder what your expression will be when Manny finds himself belly
    up in the 7th.

Theres a bigger money fight for cotto if he wins.
If its me I would just pay the 1 mill win and get a 30 more next fight
