10 - 9 Valuev, no way will the judges give him that round, the close/inactive rounds will go to Valuev.

Valuev not pulling the trigger. Haye trying to pull an Ibragimov (vs. Briggs) with lunging headhunting overhands as he moves laterally, but not really landing on anything but Nik's forearms.

Haye's doing outstanding so far, really well. Perfect tactics.

Both guys too negative in the first two rounds, I didn't bother scoring them.

Haye landing in the third, though - and evading (or smothering) the jab.

Valuev's jab is pathetic tonight. It's like an "Excuse me, do you mind if I touch your face? Oh, you'd rather not. Well, alright. Sorry for the trouble!" jab.

Valuev starting to throw his weight into more of his shots; trying to trap Haye in the corners, and seems to have figured out his movement (will walk him down against the ropes, then wait for Haye to circle near a corner and take a quick step to the other side of it to head him off). Haye's defending well, but this is Valuev's best round so far (4th)

Haye is fighting the right fight. Hope he can keep picking him off.

Valuev actually hurt Haye with a combination near the end of the 5th (against the ropes). Haye puffs out his chest and tries to bluff the big man, keeping his hands at his sides and dashing in bravely to unleash volleys of his own. He's lucky that didn't happen earlier in the round, giving Nik another chance to utilize the ropes.

This is an interesting tactical match, actually. Haye leaving a breadcrumb trail across every inch of the ring, and Valuev trying to shut the phonebooth doors around him (when he does he's effective enough that Haye bounces away like a ping pong ball...David seems desperate not to let more than two or three flush shots land at a time...)
