I reckon he's a late bloomer. At thirty he'll be like Tyson.

He beat Brewster which is a good win, he should try to get a fight with a gatekeeper type opponent but considering he fights in Germany he may go the Euro route of fighting for a world title.

go the euro route of fighting for a world title,eh!

You are not a little bit too optimistic, arent you!

Yes,Gbenga did beat Lamon Brewster,but.......he lost his last fight to German heavy weight talent Dettweiler on the undercard of AA vs Taylor.I watched it live.It was a close fight which could have gone either way.As the fight took place in Germany the German boy got the nod.
Anyway! Gbenga has talent, but one of his weak spots is his weird inactivity in the ring at times.
He now and then tends to stand in the middle of the ring doing .........nothing but daydreaming. He unnecessarily gives away rounds.Very wayward behaviour in the ring IMO.
He could have beaten Dettweiler if he hadnt been that inactive within the first few rounds.
He is scheduled to fight former Bulgarian amateur star Pulev(2-0) on the undercard of Valuev vs Haye.
Pulev is a green rookie in the paid ranks.Nevertheless, this fight will be one of the toughest fights in Gbenga's career.
Gbenga was a amateur star back home in Africa,an olympian who fought under the banner of Nigeria.
Neverthless,in terms of success at the amateurs he coudlnt hold a candle to his next opponent Pulev.
Very intruiging fight by the way!
    Bloody tough fight for Pulev,too!

I wasn't aware that he lost on the Abraham Taylor undercard, I figured he would get a decent fight against another top 50 guy like Brewster, but I see his lost today also. I saw Lyakovich got a comeback win though.

It was a ****ing close fight. Gbenga was coming on strong but the fight was only six rounds... If it was eight rounds, Pulev would have been flat on his back.
