same can be said about boxers going into MMA. A lot of them fail cuz once they're taken down, it's over.

 

1) Who gives a **** how much they make?

2) Striking looks different in mma than boxing because it's a different ****ing sport.

3) Just because they're either get taken down or they won't doesn't mean it's a 50/50 shot any more than there's a 50/50 shot that the sun will rise tomorrow morning. It's been shown over and over and over that a takedown is a far more high percentage attack than a punch and if the boxer doesn't know how to stop it then it's a 99.99999999999/0.00000000001 chance that the boxer will end up on the ground and totally ****ed. If there has been any "point" to mma, then it's to underline this fact that large body motions against large and relatively immobile sections of the body are much more certain to be effective than small body motions (hands or feet) against small and elusive sections of the body (head).
