The fight is not on youtube, sad. If you think he can compete with Dawson, good for you.

well more than likely dawson would outpoint cloud, but to say someone as strong and tough as cloud has no chance against dawson is going a bit overboard.

Dawson by UD - about 9-3 or 8-4, but he'd have to overcome some shaky moments I feel.

Exactly. Woods wasn't in too bad a shape at all for that fight. Nowhere near his prime but not bad. A good test for Cloud. Gave him some valuable experience against a very tough, fine fighter past his most dangerous and Cloud rose to the challenge in a big way.

He didn't even pick 40-year-old Johnson apart from the get go when he had tons of opportunity tonight. It was smart on Dawson's part but leaves me wondering why anybody would think Cloud wouldn't be at least a threat to Dawson.

He's a threat to Dawson, but I think some people are overestimating Cloud. Cloud beat Clinton Woods who's both limited offensively and defensively. Dawson is much better than Woods both offensively and defensively. I think Cloud will be shocked when he can't land that much against Dawson while at the same time getting countered.

Oh, absolutely Woods isn't in the same world as Dawson. I wasn't suggesting otherwise. That's why I say there's no doubt that Dawson's experience is a world apart from Cloud's...But Cloud I think wouldn't need to get inside that much to do a lot of damage. There were so many shots Cloud got Woods with that I don't think Dawson could possibly have stayed on his feet for. In no way do I think Dawson would be open for the shots like Woods was during much of the fight, but anything Cloud can land with authority might have Dawson on ***** street. And being faster and arguably much more powerful than Johnson with his youth to boot, Cloud might very well get in there and be a nightmare to Dawson. Even the more defensive Dawson of last night.

If Cloud is such a thunderous puncher than why couldn't he knock out Woods? I understand Woods has a granite chin, but still. Cloud won't be hitting Dawson like he was hitting Woods. Dawson's chin is underrated, he's tough and can take a punch, judging by Dawson's fights, there is no indication he has a bad chin.

    1. I didn't say Dawson DID have a bad chin. But it's clear to anyone it's not in the Woods league.
    2. I already said Cloud wouldn't be hitting Dawson like he hit Woods.
    3. You answered your own question about why Cloud didn't stop Woods.
    4. Do you pay attention to what you're reading and writing?

I think Dawson would outbox Cloud handily. Theres no fighter between 168-175 that can beat Chad Dawson.
