Fair enough. Good post, and thanks -- I'll look for the Angulo KO. :good I appreciate Dawson's ability, though I'm not a big fan. I'm just saying his style isn't a fan-winner is all. Some guys, like PBF, can get away with that because of their out of ring stuff. But Chad's more detached. He did well, did what he had to do. I just hope he fights some younger guys.
That's fair, that's fair. BUT...If I paint a Picasso and no one sees it, does it matter? There's two sides to this coin. That's all I'm saying. Most Haye fights will be more interesting than tonight's. Good. Dawson? He just needs to fight younger guys who will test him.
any self-respecting human being would change the channel if that mma fad garbage came on. yeah, dawson-johnson sucked. of course it was always going to. a rematch of a somewhat close decision? HBO just picked the wrong horse to take forward. He is a good boxer, but can't ko any top fighter in his division, and is pretty damn boring as he goes about his decision wins. Whatever. All this doom and gloom will be erased by the Pac-Cotto spectacle next week. We're a week out and all signs point to this thing being HUGE.
CANT WAIT for Pac-Cotto. That should make this bad taste go away. I'm just grumpy tonight. Waited all week for some good scraps and got these two bouts. Annoying. And they're not fan-grabbers, either. I am THRILLED, though, that Valuev is out. It's about time. Let's just hope King doesn't have options on Haye.
I said Angulo vs. Yorgey was the fight of the night, followed by Emelianenko-Rogers. Clearly ranking them in terms of excitement/entertainment value - not ****ing Nielsen ratings. What does who was watching what have to do with anything? More people watch CBS (which is available to every household with an operating television set) than HBO (a premium cable service that's a bit on the pricy side)? WOW! You're shaking up the world, man.
