That was taken from one of his interviews when he was studying him to prepare Arlovski. If you back up with Fedor and he gets you off balance, it could be a short night. Hes very aggressive, very dangerous, So were working on keeping our balance and staying on cue at all times and backing Fedor up, because he cant fight going backwards [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JRkeOAdjPE[/ame]
Why do you try so hard to discredit Fedor? Then go on and say you never want to see him lose? I don't understand you anymore boxingcar.
I don't want to discredit Fedor. You got the wrong idea. I just thought it was interesting to post the observation of a top boxing coach... Yes , i posted this thread http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=181176 But it's a different critic on his stylistic approach. I still maintain that it's a problem which will eventually be his achilles heel. (his fast reflexes are saving him most of the time)...Having said that , i hope he'll retire in time. (and not stay as long as couture for example). Apart from that , i think he's quasi-perfect. And i don't ever wanna see him lose. I consider him as a living legend. The Federer of MMA
You're try to feed the trolls, We all seen this video and know what Roach's opinion is of Fedor, I think we also all know that Fedor isn't a crisp puncher and never will be. Eventually EVERYONE loses there skills and fights too long I don't think it'll be the end of the world if he does lose but the haters will discredit him and rank him as probably not even a top 10 ATG. Its ******ed and extremely boring to hear the same thing over and over and over. Fedor wins, bottomline. He is not superman he is not god why is he held to a different standard? If and when he does lose it will be counted as 10 loses compared to 1 lose by anybody else, I just don't get it.
It's sincerely not my intention...But i understand how you could see it this way. But most people are mature enough not to troll like they would on sherdog around here. (right ? )
When this forum first started you where right. Now, I'm not so sure. hahaah I don't mean to degrade you I'm just tired of the same old garbage. If someone that has never seen Fedor fight and just read what was on the internet they'd think he had many loses the way people trash him.
Oh and you are pretty much just staing the obvious, we all know Fedor throws bombs and haymakers, nothing straight but he keeps winning and I also think we all know someday someone will beat him.
andrei's boxing was good and was winning him the fight. a flying knee was moronic and showed overconfidence. he paid the price.
The thing is Fedor scans you when he fights you, he analyzes your **** in minutes same way Roach analyzes the fighters from tapes. Basically imagine boxers ability, with his coaches knowledge and ingenuity working together and calculating very fast. In three minutes, I dunno whether it's a gut feeling or a conscious process he is able to assess the situation and calculate the best way to attack. He did the same with Rogers and he said it out to the public, I saw his footwork pattern and knew when to strike. It's very simple, and it's a talent. I think no one in MMA is able to do this as well as Fedor. Couture was able to do that but he had to calculate it BEFORE the fight and come up with a plan, Fedor does it on the fly. This isn't far from truth [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwEyEanggSU[/ame]
This always makes me laugh. How exactly was Andrei winning the fight if he didn't even get out of the first round?
100%. fedor is a freestyler. it's brillant to watch. his ability to adapt is unrivaled probably in all of combat sports.
you know what i mean. if fedor hadn't of landed that punch or adapted the arlovski was en route to winning the round. wasn't there like 5 seconds left. if that punch didn't land, arlovski had the round won because he won the boxing match in round 1.
It's an argument of productivity level of one fighter using the time to score points over another fighter using the time to find a way to finish it. It could be argued both ways, but I think the end results shows who used their time more appropriately.
