I managed to keep my mouth shut most of the fight but that really riled me, it always does.

Lol, Boxing is a lot more skilled than MMA, and a lot more interesting as well. I watch MMA, and I also watch WWE (Have done since I was a kid so dont mock me haha!!).....but MMA can be ok, some fights can be good, but I feel the fighters dont have as much respect for their opponents as boxers, and it can be quite brutal at times (Hitting a defenceless opponent)....

But there are too many people who like UFC and seem to think Boxing has no skill whatsover - usually these are the guys who are shouting "hit him" like it's the easiest thing on earth!!

Have you tried that belt that electrocutes you every 5 seconds? You'll either get a six pack or die of a premature heart attack trying!!

I did try to be balanced by explaining that they were chalk and cheese disciplines, he said if you put a boxer in with an MMA guy, he'd get destroyed and I said yeah and if you put an MMA guy into a boxing ring, he gets destroyed ... I said, this isn't fighting, it's boxing .. it's a sport and an art form.

These ****ers always try and equate this stuff with fighting outside some pub on a Saturday night. :fire

Yeah, I was watching the action down at a mates house. There were a couple of know-nothing-know-it-alls there who were convinced Valuev had won.

One of these guys is big into the "boxing conspiracy theory", who after every fight says the same old **** about "this stuff is more stage managed than WWE."

After the decision was announced last night he wen't off on one: " He (Haye) did not win that fight. Its all about the money these days. That was a total set-up. I'll tell what's gonna happen now, they'll fight a rematch and the Russian will win that one. Then they'll have a third fight to complete the trilogy. Mark my words."

I buggered off home at that stage, leaving him to peruse the seats at ringside, trying to see if he could spot Frankie "Mr Grey" Carbo.

Aye, s'all relative though, innit. Bet your mates have interests in certain things you offer uneducated opinions on and they probably go off to some other corner of the web to type out their disdain.
