David "13 punches per round" Haye

It blows my mind that people think a guy that landed a number of punches you could count on one hand won the fight.

Haye backpedalled but what did he do to win the fight...he landed power punches, not many but enough relative to his opponent. What did Valuev do? Nothing.

 

Man pressing button does lie... its not a computer as if it automaticly detects and counts it, its a man ring side with a button in his hand, and whos to say that man cant get it wrong? whos to say that the man behind that isnt a biased Klitschko fan?:think

 

With that sort of punch out, a Haye-Ruiz fight's just gonna be a thrilla.

 

its called boxing... against someone 1 foot taller and nearly 100lbs heavier... take note...

I think it's time you followed another sport then if that's the case.

 

Holyfield gave away more lbs and more height and was 46 years old and did better, as did Donald, as did Ruiz, as did Chagaev.

 

there are two people and you are 100% correct whos to say it couldnt be a biased Arreola fan? it could be which is why Compu Box does not score fights nor is it used to score fights, the system is not perfect not even close.

Haye is clearly a gun-slinger not comfortable with in-fighting which is exactly what Holyfield/Ruiz did in spots. Holyfield came in and out but got underneath Valuev's jab to attack Valuev. Haye fought an out-side battle with Valuev. I argued he should've fought on the inside more, but every moron argued against me.

Holyfield and those guys are much more comfortable in-fighting. So it was a style thing.

Lastly, and most obviously. Haye hurt his hand.

Now stop continuously being ignorant. Learn from your mistakes.

 

Who cares how heavy or tall he is? Engage!!! FIGHT!!!

Haye proved he could have done it in the 12th - in the ONLY round he clearly won.

 

"Running around, back-peddling" against a forward fighter is called Boxing. Ali did it, Floyd does it, SRR did it, etc etc. If you want to see 2 men just throw punches going forward then check out any nightclub brawl.
Admittedly I agree Haye was way too negative with his counterpunching and did not throw enough punches. However, Haye has an excuse, 7 stone and 11 inches. Its called a gameplan. Valuev can't expect to win a fight by landing probably 2 telling punches in 12 rounds. :bbb
