In all honest I didn't find the fight boring, but i'm a big Haye fan and obviously seeing him in there with someone of Valuevs size and experience made for an enjoyable fight. The number is irrelevant in judging, workrate is not one of the marking criteria. David outlanded Valuev decisively.

I think for the avaerage fan they were expecting so much from Haye after listening to his mouth.."I will do this" " I will do that" "Valuev is this" "Valuev is that"...It was a let down, My wifes brother was here...average boxing fan...all he kept saying was "why is Haye running"....I think alot of people were thinking that
I think given the size matchup, Hayes activity and lack of experience overall, especially as a HW, people should really have taken his statements with a pinch of salt. Especially educated boxing fans.
I get it.. I understand what he does and why he says things. I just found it boring....good defensive game plan...horrible offensive..IMO

I can understand why you think that, totally. I do credit that to his hand injury, that I honestly believe is true. I did notice a nasty contact in the slow-mo replays, and afterwards Haye did seem very reliant on his left hand.
If you even have to ask "why is he running?" chances are you're incapable of making even simple, objective value judgements. Probably best not to watch a subjective sport like boxing then, really.
I think that since their sole job is to count punches that they just might be somewhat accurate. At least more so than say YOU!
