Cause every single boxer who says they'll get the ko does it, don't they?

You don't NEED to throw more than your opponent. You don't get a C+ for effort alone. You need to land more shots, and those shots need to be more effective than the other guy's. It's not just a number's game because of that.

Haye knew the more he opened up, the more chance Valuev could get an uppercut through. He didn't have the reach or height to stay on the outside, so he needed to pick his shots. That's GOOD BOXING!

And what is this crap: "the contender has to do more than the champ"? It doesn't mean anything. It can be twisted to whatever you want it to mean - it's not an objective scoring criteria. If you mean activity, well it's irrelevant - Valuev wasn't landing. He admitted he couldn't catch Haye. Haye wasn't throwing as much, but he made his shots count.

If you can't understand that simple scoring concept, you might want to watch soccer.

so you are saying he should not have taken a back step against a man who is the size of a ****ing polar bear?? get real.

you have to fight on the back foot and wait for the lumbering beast to make a mistake and then smash that ****ing pumpkin. that is what Haye did!

f he needs to be an idiot to make money fair enough. I'd act like a **** too if I thought it would make me plenty of money. This fight sold very well in the UK cause David Haye made the build up exciting with all his talk.

We all had serious interest in a fight with one of the Klitschkos ;)

He generated that and didn´t come to fight.

I don´t hate anybody I don´t know personally, but I find Haye quite annoying, that much is true. A big part of that is generated by his big mouth, the continuous fail to back up his words and to a certain degree his huggin fanbase. :)
