Why is it that in boxing the lesser talented fighters receive more props than the...

Fans like fighters to show heart and a lot of the very top fighters don't have to because they can make it look easy whereas the level just below get more chance to show it. If Floyd, Jones, Calzaghe went to war more often they'd probably get more props but because they usually didn't have to they get more abuse than they probably should.

i would think a world champion boxer would know something about heart. hell, even casual fans know that everyone loves a man with a lot of heart. if you had any, you would know this.

 

The more talented fighters bring a lot more baggage into the picture. Fans are too busy debating them and trying to rank them as to GOAT status, pulling out scorecards and debating wins and loss ratios.

The guys that never made it to that level are watched for pure enjoyment, no hatorade needed.

 

People just hate on people who are succesful and like to see everyone grounded or made to look human. People love to see others fail its comical. And in PBF case people hate a black man thats rich and calling all the shots, not right just how it is.

 

The more talented fighters you mentioned are guys who have continuously been accused of being duck dodgers. And, right or wrong, it stuck because they often seemed to take on lesser fighters when tougher ones were available.

 

chavez was never accused of ducking anyone...i mean, some idtiots think that mancini and bramble would've had a chance, but come on hahahaahahaahahah....

jones is very well loved by everyone....

floyd and joe just rub people the wrong way for many different reasons....is floyd gifted ??? hell ****en yeah, but his heart is questioned many times cause he's a safety first type of fighter....and though it takes balls to get into the ring, it also takes balls to take on riskier opponents, and that's just something floyd aint gonna do anymore.....people lose respect for a "fighter" like that, cause we do pay their bills, and in many peoples opinions, floyd was a waste of money....
