Haye criticised Wlad for being boring, jab jab etc etc. He called EVERY fighter in the HW division a bum and said he was going to knock everyone out. He said he was exciting, a breath of fresh air and wouldn't be happy with decisions and wouldn't box safely and would go out throwing bombs.

Well, what utter bollocks. I'm not slagging off his straegy agaisnt Valuev,it was the sensible way to do it. But he didn't do anything exciting at all, and didn't bring any of the things he said he would to a heavyweight fight. I've seen his hand in the videos and it doesn't look swollen at all. For someone who calls himself a warrior, that's pretty lame.

Haye said some ridiculous and offensive things about Wlad, who boxes far better and more offensively than Haye did in the Valuev fight. Haye fought sensibly, nothing wrong with that, but that's what he gave Wlad so much **** for, as have the Media. Yet Haye's win was 'sensational'. Unbelievable.

Haye also criticised Wlad for fighting mandatories instead of him, and worrying about his belts instead of fighting Haye straight away when coming up from cruiser.Wlad has been trying to unify for years now, as people (including almost everyone on ESB i remember) were calling out for a recognised unified champ. When he beat Ibragimov (admittedly a boring fight) he was a 'disgrace to boxing'. All of a sudden, now Haye wants to do it, it's priority number one again and Haye is 'the saviour'....

Now Haye is going to fight ruiz because 'he's just won the belt and 'doesn't want to lose it straight away'. Never mind that Ruiz is boring as hell then, washed up and over the hill? Like all of Wlads opponents hey David?!

These are such double standards, and this is why I want to see him getting KO'd by wlad!!!!

    I actually agree.

I've always like Haye and Booth, but they seem to come across as so unbearably smug to me at the moment, especially Booth with his cheese ball lines.

    1) Haye injured his hand early on in the fight :deal and proceded to out box the BIG fella with one hand

    2) Ruiz is the mandatory challenger, he either fights Ruiz or gets stripped :deal

I know that, but that wasn't an issue for Haye when he confronted Wlad on the stairs at the charity event, remember??

    shut the **** up!!

Haye said all those things about valuev and what he was going to do to him in order to bring interest to the fight and make money. You really think the soft spoken valuev was going to bring any interest to the event..Haye had to sell the fight to the british public in order to make himself viable both financially and as a credible/well known champion.
If you take carl froch as an example, the guy is a british champion who has been in several bullish fights against tough opposition but yet is hardly known in the UK!

You then criticise him for calling Wlad boring....well mate lets face it the guy is boring!
For a champ his size and reach he should be knocking guys out left, right and centre. Instead he prefers to play it safe and jab his way to a points victory in most of his fights! See chagaev and ibragimov fights.

Haye had a disadvantage of roughly a foot against valuev and add that he weighed in what nearly 90 pounds heavier than haye..the guy had no choice but to tactailly move and hit. Yes he should have thrown more punches and yes potentialy he could have knocked valuev out had he gone for it like he did in the 12th. But whos to blame the guy for doing what he had to win!
With regards to your suspicions about his hand injury.. the fact it looked very swollen and taped up in the interviews ive seen and also the fact he is having an x-ray on it today would suggest he has damaged it.

He has to fight Ruiz next as he was paid step aside money in orer for haye to get the fight, as such he is his mandatory. After this fight a show down with Vitali klitschko loks very likely..bth have talked about in oer the last few days on radio and the internet.

So stop with your bull**** and inept towards the guy and give him credit for doing what not many fights have doen before him, 2 weight world champion who wpractices what he preaches and has never ducked a challenge!

It's only normal that Haye hasn't delivered his promises, he was talking all that smack to promote himself and to talk his way to a championship fight. Now that he got what he wanted I can't wait to see Vitali serve Haye his ass on a silver plate.

well the fact he was 90 pounds heavier and a foot taller would suggest a very big challenge. Haye was stepping up from cruiser fighting guys his own size or smaller.

If youre not telling me that fight was not a challenge then i dont know what is!

With regards to your statement about ducking wlad..as posted previously by numberous people he did not duck the man. His financiers for the fight went out of business and as such was not going to get paid. He has a family to support..unless your stupid no-one would risk there career let alone there health for one fight!

Chagaev wasn't a points victory and Iggy was the last man to see the end of the 12 with Wlad, who has an impressive KO percentage. He doesn't go for points wins and has knocked out more fighters who were never knocked out before than any other current boxer.

Chagaev looked better against Valuev than Haye and Wlad stopped him. Trash talk isn't necessary for good fighters to sell fights, get your facts straight, there was far more interest in Vitali - Arreola than Haye - Valuev. Wlad sold Schalke arena for the fight with Haye, only five (!) people wanted a refund when Haye bailed out.

Haye broke his hand you re-****, he rocked Valuev with his left hand, he had to punch upwards and fight an entire fight single handed, you need to get your facts right and as for Ruiz he is the mandotry challenger

But Haye said Wlad would be his easiest fight? He would have made huge money after beating him, if he was so confident, why didn't he take the fight anyway? If Wlad would ever pull a move like that, he would be accused of ducking from all the ignorant haters. Haye, at the very least, is extremely unprofessional in making a fight happen, see Rahman, Johnson and both Klitschkos, all in one year.

Proof that his hand was actually broken? What he showed in the interview was two taped fingers on a hand that didn't even look swollen. Why didn't he throw more punches in the firstb two rounds before his hand was broken? Why could he throw his best punches in the 12th, after fighting nine rounds with a broken hand?

I think it's a wee bit early to judge him.

He's only just come off his first meaningful heavyweight bout, a bout in which due to the freakish circumstances, he was forced to adopt an unfamiliar strategy. He was giving up so many physical disadvantages, it would have been foolish to pursue a knockout. Instead he was smart to fight to his own strengths (speed and agility), and work his way to a points victory.

However, if he does apply the same tactics against future opponents of equal size to him, then yes he can be accused of double standards. But only time will tell

Oh and in regards to his broken hand? It's bull**** I believe, and we the fans will never really know whether he did actually break it. He's simply using this excuse to justify his reason for not being able to knock him out. Which of course is silly, the reason he didn't knock him out, was because he didn't wanna risk getting tagged. Again, there's nothing wrong with that.
