If they were fighting at 142/143 maybe - not at 145. Cotto came in at 146 against Clottey. 1 more pound won't hurt him, which is why he agreed to it.

They agreed to what they agreed to, no excuses, it's gonna be a hell of a fight!

I think it's a shame though that Pac is so eager for this because it will be historic (title in 7 weight classes), and its at a catchweight. Not bashing the CW, just think the history he's making will be a little shadowed because he did not agree to a straight WW fight.

on one post you talk about how the Pac-Cotto fight shouldnt be at a catchweight cause Cotto might be weight drained and in the other you criticize Pac for not fighting Mosley at 140 :patsch:patsch

The guy just cant win with guys like you no matter what he does.

The question is, does Cotto really have problems making weight? If yes, then he shouldn't be fighting at welterweight and should go straight at 154 where he can still eat well and make the weight comfortably.

Only Cotto can answer these because he's the one who knows his body's limitation more than anyone else.

If he can't make 145, don't push it and weigh at 146 or 147, pay the penalty...then war!

    no excuses.

nah i think you are ******ed .....mosley offered the fight at 140 if pac was p4p the best he wouldve took it...remember cotto turned down the fight initially because of the weight and mosley jumped at the offer only to get shut down by pac...he was willing to take 30% of the fight purse and was shut down...an atg wouldve jumped at the oppurtunity to fight someone who hasnt made that weight in over 10 years and all intangibles favored pac...but they took the cotto fight instead....do u read any boxing articles besides the **** written in forums...maybe u should do that

I don't understand so you think Cotto would be weak and weight drained at 145 but Mosley at 140 in his advanced age would pose more of a challenge? :huh

im not saying i wouldve like to see mosley vs pac im just saying that an atg offered him the fight at his weight for less money and he turned an atg down...u cats know **** about boxing....ill be here saturday night/ sunday morning saying...I TOLD YA SO.....ya keep saying its only 1 pound this and 1 pound that...but have anyone of u tried to cut down from 165-170 pounds while retaining a healthy system...those two pounds are alot...because if he is coming at the contracted weight he has to come in at 145 he has to train his body even more so then b4 because he faces stiff penalties...**** the catchweight, even at 147 i see pac winning as i said before this cotto is just not the same...LATER HATEZ

Let me guess this right. You would rather Pacquiao fight a weight-drained Cotto than Cotto at 147, because he couldn't make weight?

So if Pac win's against a 145 he beat a weigh drained Cotto which means **** all. I'm not saying he would be weight drained, but thats what everyone will say and Pac will get no credit.
But if Cotto come in at 147, no excuses, and everyone can aplaud Pac.
