All this talk of David Haye vs. The Klitscho's is great and it would be great to see David vs. either Klitscho but all this talk could be premature as Haye will probably be fighting Ruiz and Vitali will be meeting Kevin Johnson on December 12th. I know it is a long shot for Ruiz and Johnson but they could put a wrench in the Vitali vs. Haye plans if one of them were to win the Title.
Even though I am not old enough to remember people tell me that Buster Douglas vs. Mike Tyson was supposed to be a slaughter as well.........basically anything can happen especially with Vitali zero in on Haye. Also, I would disgree and say that Johnson has the better chance as Haye will probably destroy Ruiz.
It would be hilarious if these upsets were sprung and two of the most maligned (and ignored) contenders ended up unifying (partially...or hell, even fully if the winner somehow goes on to an unlikely victory over Wlad).
Johnson has the better chance. I think Ruiz is too slow and done at this point. I don't know too much about Johnson to be fair so I can't say I guess.
They aren't comparable. I actually thought Douglas would win. Douglas was an exceedingly talented fighter, who basically was lazy and didn't care enough. When he was motivated, Douglas was a monster, the problem was he usually lacked motivation. With his mother's death before the fight, the missing component was there. Think of Sanders, but with more skill. That was Douglas. Really, a waste of talent and skill except for that one night in Japan.
Neither Ruiz or KJ are going to win. I'f we're lucky, Haye knocks Ruiz out and finally we don't have to see anymore of him. Ruiz is getting old and slow-he's made to order for Haye. Roy Jones beat Ruiz big w/ his speed. Haye doesn't have RJ's speed but his shots are bigger. Ruiz is getting knocked out. Johnson won't win but maybe he gives VitKLit enough of a fight so that he fits in w/ the upper heavyweights. KJ is in a similar situation that VitKlit was in when he fought Lennox. Nice record but largely untested fighter gives the champ such a tough fight that he vaults himself near the top.
