Valuev would probably beat Wlad.

Wlad would wreck valuev he is just to fast and his jab is to quick, Im not exactly wlads biggest fan but i think he stops the lumbering giant.

I also think haye stops him in a rematch, as he would of if he hadn't of broke his hand in the fight at the weekend :good

Valuev was getting worse with every fight lately. Wlad would pummel this version of Nikolai and stop him.

I thought Valuev did great against Haye, but it just wasn't enough.

I don't see how he could have handled the situation any better than he did.

What waist movement would Wlad need to avoid these lumbering, slow shots from Valuev? Minimal head movement would be all he needed. Wlad is a good all - around athlete, he does stufflike kite surfing and in those Ukrainian boarding schools, they teach their boxer a lot of gymnastics. He could EASILY adapt his style to beat Valuev. With his height and reach closer to Valuev than Chagaev, he would also have the huge advantage that he could bridge the distance more easily to land his own punches.

And Valuev is hardly trying to win in the last few years. When he was coming up through the ranks, he was actually fighting hard, but now he just stands there most of the time like he doesn't want to be there. Wlad is laser - focused in the ring and maximizes his advantages, Valuev gives his away.

Are you seriously suggesting that Valuev is more skilled than McCline?

If Wlad would win this fight so easily, than why hasn't it happened?

Valuev has been around for YEARS.

Klitschko should have made this fight right after Valuev knocked Barrett out.

Fact is this is a very difficult fight for Klitschko and he would have to make some serious adjustments in order to win this fight.

I agree with you that Klitschko is smart and a good athlete and this is certainly a winnable fight and to be honest, I initially titled this thread, "Valuev could pose problems for Klitschko." It was when nobody responded that I changed the thread title.

In my eyes though, Valuev has a very good chance at winning this fight or at least making it incredibly close.

Did you ever consider that Wlad is very fast with his punches? You're saying that Valuev will punch when Wlad punches. I just believe that Wlad will hit him at will and again like always not get hit.
But I would love to see this fight. Always had. Who cares if there is no belt on the line or that Valuev just lost to Haye. It was a close fight, not a blowout.

    On the outside, absolutely.

On the inside, no, but where do you expect Klitschko to fight?

When has he ever fought anyone on the inside? He doesn't even have an inside game. When he throws uppercuts, he looks akward and his main tactic is to clinch.

Are you suggesting that this would change against Valuev? Maybe, but I know exactly how Valuev would fight and I can only SPECULATE on how Klitschko would fight.

Man if you dont shut the **** up with this bull****...Wlad would lose to Valuev...Get the **** out of here with that **** you ****ing simp!

Wlad would work out on Valueve...Valuev is slow as dirt and his boxing skills are very limitid...How in the **** will Valuev will cope Wlad telephone pole jab and thunderous right hand...Valuev is not an evasive type of fighter to evade Wlad onslaught...So you expect me to believe he's going to do this against Wlad, a guy that box using lateral movement.

Please shut the **** with this "you dont know nothing about boxing" agruement...You're opinion is shitty and makes no ****ing sense.:patsch

Edit: Just look at all of the people lauging at you dumbass...So I guess these posters dont know anything about boxing either?

It's always a close fight with Valuev because of his immense size.

Klitschko will have a lot of trouble knocking Valuev out because Valuev will know what to expect, straight punches down the middle, and it is very unlikely that that Valuev will walk straight into a right hand given his cautious nature of fighting. Certainly not to the extant that Brock did anyway.

And if he does, are you sure it will knock him out?

It may stagger him, but will Klitschko finish him? Can he finish him?

This is just a bad matchup for Klitschko. Would Klitschko win, I don't know...

Valuev will fight how he always fought. Nothing spectacular. And he needs to be that if he even has a chance of beating this Wlad. For Wlad i'd say that Manny has it all figured out.

If Haye wobbled him then surely Wlad can too. If the fight ever happens I pick Wlad by T/KO in mid-late rounds
