"I think [Haye] is interesting," said HBO vice president Kery Davis. "There are two things that he brings which are very sellable: One, he's an outgoing, charismatic personality; Two, he has explosive power. He's a very attractive TV fighter. He adds some energy to the division, and we would be interested in a number of matchups with him."

Get him on Oprah and he'll be an overnight sensation.

He's become an overnight star in Britain. Seriously, only boxing fans and some sport fans had heard of him before the Valuev fight and now everyone knows him. He's already made countless TV appearances since returning from Germany.

Not sure whether the US public would take to him though :think

agreed. HBO should pick up the Ruiz fight. If he KO's Ruiz, sign him to a multi-fight deal.

I don't know, if he averages 13 punches a round then no he will not become big in the US.

HBO loves David Haye. They wanted Wlad to face him and not Chagaev.

It is only because they are obligated to broadcast GBP fighters.

When GBP acquired all those aging starts HBO signed a deal with them for something like 3 years and guaranteed dates.
