I kind of lean towards this. This accomplishment would be great but if he dominated the division for a while then it is just that much better

Well not every ATG beat an ATG. Some are ATG because of skills and because they ran the show for loooooooooooonnnnngg time. If they have huge amount of defenses then that counts too

What all time great has less than 25 fights? maybe there is one, just none pops into mind. The amount of times you step into the ring shows how durable you are as a fighter. Haye has not earned any respect in this regard.

Anybody at this point who could unify all the HW belts is going to be an ATG in my books.

As it stands now, there seems to be no one close to doing it expcet the Klits - and they do not intend to fight each i.e. no unification.

I think Haye is game and wants to fight the Klits, I believe what he said about the impossible contract the Klits offered him, but hes going to beat neither of them anyway

Haye didn't mind giving all the options to Sauerland and King. He is a disgrace. He had his chance to fight Klitschkos, but ran away.

To beat both you have to be able to beat one. Haye can't do that, so it becomes a moot question.

If Corrie Sanders had eaten two less bags of donuts (and hadn't been 38 years old) and had KO'd Vitali in the first (after dropping him and making Vitali panic, flail, and back pedal in his own Wladimir imitation) would he be an ATG?:huh

If Sanders cared as much about boxing as he does golf, he could be an ATG. He doesn't, and he isn't.

    Guy had SICK natural talent.

On the talent chart he rates right above both Klitschkos.

Sanders would have knocked Haye out.

It's close, but you're probably right.

His hands are faster than Vitali's, no doubt. Probably faster than Wlad's, too (though Wlad is faster than he seems). No, Sanders' hands are faster. His chin/nerves are definitely better than Wlad's.

Great power. Very fast hands. Big. Excellent athlete. Southpaw, I think. Tough. He just didn't care enough about boxing and would sometimes lack a little bit of confidence. Not too often, but every now and then.

Lewis, and many others, ducked Sanders. The lighting fast left hook was a killer. I loved watching him fight and the brawl with Rahman was a great war. It's too bad he wasn't more into the sport, but that's how it goes.

You completely missed the context of this thread, its can Haye become an ATG considering hes already undisputed CW champion.
Sanders' resume (previous to Wlad) was inferior, anyway he beat Wlad years ago and VK wasted him pretty much apart from 1 shot where he wasnt even wobbled really, let alone indubitably "knocked down".
Haye doesnt throw enough vs these tall well schooled HWs, hes going to lose every round, getting busted up by the jab while he ducks around trying to look like Roy Jones.
He has a slim chance of doing a Sanders on Wlad but I think its far more likely that WK keeps him at a distance and hammers him.

To hear some of Hayehuggers, you'd think he already had beaten both....at the same time......blindfolded.....with a ......well, you get the point. But seriously, if.....big IF.... he did that, I'd go so far to call him an ATG. I don't think he could to be quite honest. I don't think he's met anyone of their caliber, especially at HW.
