147lbs is the "upper limit" of the welterweight division
141lbs is the "lower limit" of the welterweight divison

hence, anything that is equal or lower than 147lb, as long as it is above 140lbs is inside the WW div.

so cotto is taking the fight at WW. but still deserves credit nonetheless.

his opponent was allowed to weigh what ever he wanted. he could have weighted in at 150, if he wanted. all he would have had to do was pay the fine for it like PBF did. Pac has no control over what they weigh in. cotto could do the same, he could decide to say **** the 145 and come in the usual 146lb like he always does and just pay the fine. Roach already said they would still take the fight even if he came in at 147lb. if cotto really is having hard time loosing 1 lb then just pay the fine and come in 1lb over.

Give it a rest already and let's just enjoy the big fight ahead of us.

Pac takes on Cotto and people still talk ****. How much did Cotto weigh in for the Clottey fight again?

Then why do you even post here? Go write a letter to the boxing commissions or whoever it is that defines/controls the weight division and complain to them. Maybe for one person they will change their entire structure. Dumbass

First of all, don't ask me anything when you don't even know the boxing weight divisions.

Its not a question of defining weight divisions.

You have to know the specifics.

We all know Cotto had a bad time making weight before he moved up to Welterweight from a lower weight (Junior Welterweight :yep). We all know Pac has fought at the welterweight limit before.
