Where has this stemmed from? It's not his best punch, but he can lead with it effectively and put more than enough power on it to stop Mosley in his tracks. Photos below. Cotto fans, put other photos of great Cotto right hands in here.

My only fear in this fight is Pac circling to the outside of Cotto's lead foot. It's been apparent in some of his fights that quick feet can leave him out of position to punch >> i.e. Judah rounds 1&2.

If Pac steps to his right and Cotto doesn't keep him in his sights, he'll be open for a right hand that could later set up Pac's left.

I think Pac will try this on Saturday, but if Cotto is ready, he'll be keep Pac where he wants him and the circling will work in Cotto's favor>> the right hand you mentioned.

Pac's flaws come in exchanges. He's not the best at responding when he's being pressed.

... Cotto is a smart fighter. Logic points to him winning this one. He's more than a level above DLH or Hatton.

I agree that Cotto wins this. He is much better than either Hatton or Oscar at this stage. I believe the fight will play out like the first Morales bout. With Pacman being countered whenever he tries to throw anything more than single shots. As for Cottos right hand. I dont see it as a weak punch its just that he is left handed so his jabs and hooks appear so effective in comparison.

@ threethirteen, spot on. Cotto pack a punch both side plus good jab, good footwork, sharp speed, good slipping skills and can fight going forward or backward. If Cotto is not weight drained, Manny is in big trouble.

Its true i dont see pac winning this one he has beat bigger guys in his last few fights but no where near the skills that cotto brings to the table.
Pac only has one style of fighting and we all have seen when someone preasures him what happens ( JMM ,MORALES)

its Funny you should say that, though I did drop some cash on Cotto, I will explain something here to you. Vegas is set to clean house, this fight is perfect in the sense that Mannys last two bouts made Manny seem like a beast though he is still untested, people look at Manny right now as un stoppable.

The odds are stacked against Cotto right now, so in a sense as a betting person they are set up so that more put Money on who is favored to win which is Manny, the Casinos are going to make more money in the end becuase Manny is where most of the money will come in at, the pay out for Cotto though its good, the money they will be making from all that place bets on Manny will be more in the end, though the pay off for Cotto is much higher, its likely the majority of the betting money will be put on Pac.

his last few fights help this, also with the odds set the way they are, its almost as if the bookies are setting them so high so that you bet on Manny....

    Cant wait for this.....

Really you agree that its okay for a low class person to have the right to come here and cast racial slurs against peoples ethnic background?

This man has a very long history in doing this ****, and its gotten very old. I told his ass a while back each time he does it I will report it... and I have.

People like him do not deserve to come here.

Yeah, he seems to have an issue with Mexicans, or any fighter with balls, in particular Julio Cesar Chavez. It must be because the only guy to clearly beat his hero (JLC) was Mexican. Oh well, another keyboard warrior.

Exactly my point, he doesnt talk **** about any other race just Mexicans and has done this **** for too long and has consistantly been let off the hook for it, I am sorry but I am on a mission every time he writes **** like that I am reporting it, clearly he has racial issues, and its time ESB stand their ground when dealing with these ******s.
