    Haye vs Valuev

    Landed/Thrown/Pct.

    Haye 98/143/68.5%

    Valuev 64/390/16%

Haye's output was low, but when he threw, he invariably landed.
Valuev's success rate is extremely poor. Haye outlanded Valuev by a rate of about 3 to 2.

That's insanely accurate. Now if only he'd have thrown double that many punches...

Yeah, the VOLUME is just too low. And the disparity between landed punches is not that great, only about 30 punches over a 12 round fight. There is more to scoring fights than just who landed more punches!!

Haye versus Bhop would be a barn burner. :rofl

I wonder if this is the lowest punch output fight ever recorded at heavy? I would bet anything it is the lowest output fight that went the distance in a title fight.

Shannon Briggs might give Haye a run for his money in the "lowest punch output" category...but I really can't think of anyone else.

And where did Boxrec get the stats from? Nobody was officially keeping stats for the fight.

Haye didn't look like he landed anywhere near that percentage to me. There were a whole shitload of shots he threw that moved Valuev but were blocked by Valuev's glove or arm.

Like what? Walking forward? Hitting thin air? Because that's all that Valuev did that Haye didn't, yet somehow you feel he won the fight.

162 total punches landed by these numbers which averages to 13.5 punches landed per round for both fighters. Less than 7 punches landed per round per guy.:patsch

Bring on Briggs vs. Haye, that would surely break the record. Total punches thrown: 23.
