you are right, cotto's defense is always open for a looping right hook. but pac best punch is the straight left wich could be easy to counter.

 

Cotto does have a mean straight right. It was obvious in the Torres fight, in which he dropped Torres with a sharp straight.

Pac is not pfp #1, and second, he is still one dimensional. He does not land those other punches you talk about on good fighters. He lands them on hand picked guys who are not his equal.

and an ATG and what makes Roach an HOF/ATG trainer is how they brought serious changes to Pacman. That's NOT something any fighter can do, it takes a special fighter.

Pac is NOT an atg, and Roach is not a atg/h.o.f trainer yet. It does take a special fighter to transform after being ko'd by head and body shots. PAc has Arum so he can continue to duck black fighters, and still get respect...
