This fight was pushed by the WBC with threats of stripping KP of the belts and they approved Espino for Dec.-I agree not a great fighter but a tough kid who has a chance at a world title.
Kelly is losing out on at least $2 million dollars (At least $2.5 for PW Reportedly $500,000 for Espino) He may be a fighter but he's not stupid! His hand is just now to the point where he can make a fist, which is the reason for the second PW postponement!!!
They asked Team Williams for two more weeks since KP was still in therapy for the hand and I don't blame them for saying F you-I also believe that HBO did not have Dec. 19 open which may be another reason they said no. As a boxing fan I can only hope both PW and KP win and we can finally settle the debate in the ring.
It will be nice to stay home so close to X-Mas for the folks in Youngstown.
By the way there was a reference to fighting at the local VFW- FYI: Youngstown State's Beeghly Center will hold between 6,500-7,000 for this fight!
