    One more Tex Cobb classic.
In the Shavers fight Tex came back to his corner George says " Dont worry Tex Earnie aint hitting ya He aint hurting ya." Tex replied " If thats the case you'd better watch that goddamn referee then cause somebody sure enough is"

"You're in there for three-minute rounds with gloves on and a referee. That's not real fighting."

Jack Dempsey - This offers some insight into his mentality, starting out as a teenager fighting grown men in mining camps. Hence his approaching every fight as a life and death struggle which is visible in his fighting style.

(I know it's MMA but it's a great ****ing quote)

“Everybody has relatively the same chin. He’ll be hunting mine, I’ll be hunting his.”

Emelianenko Fyodor - He made this comment before his fight this past Saturday. Result 2nd round KO for Fyodor.

I don't know who said it but I've heard a fighter once said, after a loss, "I've got a wife and a colored tv and they both work".

Heres 2 of my favorites, both by Mike Tyson

"You're sweet. I'm going to make sure you kiss me good with those big lips. I'm gonna make you my girlfriend."

"Low blows? Low blows? Huh! Motherf**ker you're fittin' to die!"

This is a new one i came across in another thread about Eubank

For me, fighting Michael Watson, at first, in the end, was just proving myself against the great Mike McCallum, if truth be told! He'd already done the job, man. I just wanted to prove to myself that I was as good as I suspected I was.
    - Eubank

I dont know i just like that one
