I am still not sure about this. Yes it is cheap for a fight. They should market it better than what they have been doing. It wont even be in the papers or there wont be any ads about this and I just wonder how they can make money from this at the price they are showing it for. Say if 10,000 people buy it they make 60,000 got a feeling they wont even hit anywere near that figure also how much is the rights costing them to hold onto it. I think the low price is them hoping to hit huge sales but with it being in the US they wont get near those sales. IF Primetime had any sense they would of had the double header with Froch for that price to get a huge following for the rest of the tourament but they failed to do so. If Primetime are about next year I will be shocked. I wont be getting this in as it is not on my platform so it will be a dodgy link for me if I decide to stay up all night to watch it.
Only hardcore boxing fans will buy the fights no matter how much it is advertised. To market the fight on that scale would cost allot of money and they would have to put the price up to at least £10 they will be on virgin soon enough its not something they can do overnight. by getting a dodgy stream your not supporting boxing. why not pay £6 for theres stream??
£5.95 for this baby!!!!!!....Primetime you best send the signal this time cos you screwed me over last time.
I know mate but I'd want the fight to add to my DVD collection and dont know how to/probably haven't got the equipment to hook up my pc to my TV so I can record. So i'm more likely to just buy it a few days after off a trader. Because of the low price though if i'm staying in I probably will buy the stream. Come to think of it I really should sort out getting my PC hooked up to my TV as non TV stream only shows are becoming more regular and i'll want to add them to my collection.
They won't be getting my money until they get that sorted and I know absolutely postively by the Friday night that I can watch the fight with no last minute problems at 3am on a Sunday morning.
I agree I'd rather have the option of seeing these fights stateside and say pay £5 or £6 (not full PPV price though) instead of not seeing them. NEVER wont to see domestic action PPV though and dont see why it ever should be.
Even at that cheap price, there's no way I'll be giving primetime my custom again. Not after the way they ****ed me over last time.
I kinda feel the same mate It really ruined my weekend. I felt so far out of the loop not actually seeing the fights live and there really amateur run firm aswell. I'm gonna have a think about it and see. This is the fight i'm really up for aswell.
