I think Marquez would stop Hatton. Be a nice way to get back on track. If he looks good, then he could fight Bradley, both fights being @ 140 of course.

 

I dont think he is shot yet but his new high exchange style is going to shorten his career. He had a hell of a time with Diaz and he takes a lot of shots. He could beat Hatton I think but it would take a lot out of him.

I know one thing, I would bet Pac would KO him if they fought a third time.

I think he could beat him too but it would be a war. Look at how much JMM struggled with Diaz where as Paulie had an easy time with Diaz. If JMM takes that much from Diaz he is going to have a hell of a time with Hatton, JMM gets hit and Hatton is fast. I think his accuracy will catch up with Hatton but JMM will take some punishment the opening rounds.

 

Hatton aint going under 140. You seen what he looked like this week on wrestling.

Eventually Hatton is going to reach a point where he cant make 140 anymore and that will be the end of his career because he isnt effective at 147. I wont be surprised if at some point he will be doing 142 and 143 catch weights.

JMM lost to a damn good fighter at 2 weight classes higher than his previous fight.

I don't that is healthy to bulk up so high then go down so low. My degrees are not in medicine so i could be wrong. Whoever he fights will be in a war. He may have been knocked out by Mayweather and Manny but neither Marquez or Khan are that good to compete with "Money" or "Pac Man".

 

Ugh, Hatton-Marquez isn't a good fight. If Hatton wins then the haters will say "Well, Hatton beat another old shot fighter,"
If Marquez wins then Hatton fans (like myself) will say "Hatton has been shot since the Mayweather fight,"

There is no point in having this fight.

 

Ricky should take on Khan first. Khan wont be knocking anyone out, who has he knocked out? Then Ricky should take Marquez. I think Hatton has a realistic chance of beating them both on style. Ricky is a pressure fighter and both have lost to pressure fighters.

 

It's healthy to bulk up but he has to cut down slowly over 6 months and not do any more crash diets.

 

This is silly, JMM a tuneup for Khan? Shouldnt it be the other way around. JMM will be fighting 6lbs below what he fought at last time, and he would have had a good few more months to get used to the weight. He could be OK at JWW.

I think JMM UD Hatton at 140. Hatton KO Khan at 140. If Hatton can get to Pac in 2 rounds, catch him with 1 shot that staggered Pac a bit, Hatton can get to Khan in 12 rounds and stop him easy. Khan doesnt have the power to stop Hatton.

 

Hatton has about as much chance of making 140 safely as Pac would making 122.

The guy is at least 200 right now I'd say.

Marquez would stop him I think. Too good, too strong, in the end power will be the key.

I'd prefer Hatton to call it a career, but if it was one more fight I'd go with Khan. Useless on the inside, huge question marks over his chin and abilty to withstand body shots - circling the ring throwing arm punches isn't going to discourage Ricky.

It will do (I reckon) about 2m buys in the UK if shown during primetime hours. Marquez is hardly known here.
