:patsch Dirrell isnt a terrible fighter ...maybe you should actually watch a few of his fights before giving a completley uninformed view !!!

V good price but they need to sort that phone line thing out. Its stupid that you need to have the line connected.

Don't think that's what he implied. Pretty sure he meant that Dirrell often loses rounds to less than stellar opposition, which is true in all fairness.

pretty sure your phone line needs to be connected to order sky box office.

my phone line wasnt connected and sky kept calling me every other day saying they were going to charge me extra.

Thats right but I just order it on the phone and then can watch it fine. With Primetime they are saying u need to line connected just to watch the fight.

Why do people have such beef with having their Sky box connected to a phone line? When it was installed the engineer would have connected it to one and, unless you use the interactive functions that charge, it costs you nothing to leave it as it was installed. Anyone would think you had to do a naked lap of your block as opposed to leaving a wire plugged into a box.

I dont have beef with it and no when mine was installed the engineer didnt plug it to the phoneline. Mine has never been in the line. When I was t my mums we used to plug it into the line but the interactive services never worked anyway. I just don’t understand why primetime say you must have the line connected to watch when with sky box office you do not need to.

I think I'll do this, but have they been able to supply it to Virgin viewers yet?

Then you must have had a rogue installer, because it's part of the T&Cs that you have a phone line connected to the box. SBO is a completely different platform, Primetime are operating independently so, I should imagine, the only way for them to administer your purchase is via the phone line.

It's not as if they've made a secret of this, I don't understand all the suspicion.

  15. Your Sky Box only has to be plugged to the phone line when you purchase. The only other time is if you decide to set Sky+ to record it, this is just to confirm that you've purchased. That is all.

I can't plug phone, broadband, and sky in all at once or they don't work. The only time I have Sky plugged in is to purchase fights SBO or Primetime, not to watch them.
