Honestly all you have to do is listen to Freddy's comments about Castillo to know he's just talking out of his ass like he normally does on fight week. He kicked and screamed about Castillo even being invited to training camp. Barely used him and then mentions him here as a reason that Manny's in top shape. Right? Common guys Freddie konws how to sell a fight and he knows the types of things he's supposed to say on fight week. Thats all there is to it. I think the most interesting part of this video was when Smitty started Joking about how the Mayweather fight. And Manny responded by saying "well you know I'm just happy the negotiations are going well".....oopsatsch Don't think he was supposed to let that one out of the bag before the fight. Can't honestly believe no one else has mentioned this because if we're to believe all the personality comments and posturing we get in the media it would seem that they are quite far appart.

 

Yeah I totally agree here. People should know by now that Freddy has no problem lying his ass of if its the right thing to do for his fighter.

How is that disrespectful? Evangelista thinks Cotto should stop Pac before the 8th. Do I feel offended? Should Pac feel disrespected or offended? HELL NO. It is their right to feel confident about the fight. When asking Roach about Cotto as a fighter, he always says hes a very good fighter, he simply thinks Pac is on a different level, and I agree.

I think Pac makes this look easy if he can take Cotto's punch, if he cant he will get KTFO. This is confidence in Pac rather than downplaying Cotto.

 

I like how a bunch of Pac fans tried to build Cotto up as some kind of loudmouth for coming out and saying that Hatton wasn't a very good fighter.

And then what does Freddy say almost immediately on 24/ 7? :rofl

 

listen man I'm a huge Pan fan but i claimed high and loud that Hatton wasn't a very good fighter BEFORE Pac fought him. People said i didn't know **** about boxing.

I even started a thread asking if Hatton was an ELITE fighter and 82% voted yes.

Then Pac flattens him in 2 rounds and look at the turnaround.


Cotto is a very good fighter who will win a few close rounds but Pac is a class above.

 

I hear you man. I cashed my biggest bet of the year on Manny that night. It was really a mismatch. Still on the fence about Saturday, got to see the weigh-in first.

I know diehard fans have to get hyped over something, I just found trying to turn Cotto into James Toney a little bit comical. And then Roach comes out and says exactly what Cotto and a whole bunch of us already knew.

 

Cotto telegraphs his punches like Hatton? I stopped listening to Roach around there.

Alot is riding on this fight for Roach and I am sure he knows exactly whats comming, he knows this is not going to be easy at all.

if Cotto wins which I beleive will happen Mannys adviser is going to take full advantage of that and beleive he will attempt to talk Manny into leaving Roach.....

Cotto should be able to beat the smaller man in pac, and it should come as no surprise if he does and to state he should stop Pac in the 8 round is generous.

I would have said cotto stops pac in the 7 due to his size strength and his experience fighting at 140 and 147 but I would never said it would be EASY..

 

Pacquiao doesnt owe Cotto anything. He can think he will KO him inside 30 seconds, same for Cotto thinking he can KO Pac in 30seconds. Just because Cotto is bigger he is suppose to show him more respect?

Thats not disrespect, thats confidence. Saying Cotto is a **** fighter is disrespect, saying Pac is so amazing he will make beating a good bigger fighter in Cotto look easy, is confidence. There is the difference.

Many thinks PBF would beat Margo easy, so do I. Margo is a good fighter and certainly much bigger...thats no disrespect to Margo who is a good fighter...thats just Floyd being that good. Same goes for Pac - Cotto.

I agree with most points but I think that Pac will finish opportunities like those presented when cotto fought judah for example........???
I will not say a bad word against cotto as he is one of my favourites but I also like Pac.......
Sure cotto isnt a weight drained DLH or an out of his depth Hatton but Pac is a fighter who makes the most of an opening & despite his pedigree I think Cotto will be open to this at some point....
Whatever the outcome this is a great night for true fight fans........especially over here as its free......LOL
