Duran started his career at 119 pounds.His record up to and including lightweight was what?62-1 with how many ko's?He knocked out Ernesto Marcel(at 130),conqueror of Arguello,HOF Ken Buchanen-Duran was a brash 21 year old and Buchanen was a prime 26 year old,HOF Esteban DeJesus,Ray Lampkin and a bunch of other terrific fighters.And that was before he moved up.HOF resume.Like him or hate him,he is one of the greatest fighters ever.Everything past 30 years old was pure gravy as he had far and away more fights than all of those welters that he fought.If you were to judge his career at welter,he lost once at that weight,which means that that was his second loss to,of course,Leonard.So,between super-bantam and welter,and with a massive list of victims,he was what?At least 68-2.I'd have to boxrec that,with how many kos?His resume is awesome.Despise him as you may,he was great.He beat Leonard,something Tommy couldn't do,and when he fought Tommy,it was at 154.Maybe the best lightweight ever.

 

Roberto Duran was actually a better fighter than Manny Pacquiao for me, it's clear to see. Pacman is likely my fave fighter in the world now, he's a force of nature, outright.

 

Duran is a great boxer. I just feel say seeing him being devastated by HEARNS.

DURAN lost to Hearns in his peak of popularity
PAC lost during the days he was UNKNOWN to the world.

Pac is aiming for his 7th weight divison title..
Duran has less division title than PAC.
